DAY 1
Oh how I wished the park opened at 9AM, as usual, but due to the whole Spring Break thing going on, Universal opened an hour early. You know what that means: getting up earlier...one of the things that doesn't fly over me too well.
Nearly reluctantly I awoke at 5:00AM (or shortly after). We left about 30 minutes afterward. My dad wanted to get yard work done, so he stayed behind this trip (he'd be happy to go once a month or less, unlike mi madre and myself). Practically nodding off, I reminded myself that I wasn't heading to the Hell hole called school, but to Universal Studios. That sparked some energy, and I was as alert as a caffeine addict. Maybe that's because I am one? Ha...kidding...
Mom and I arrive to a practically empty park. The feared Spring Break crowds, that caused us to wake so damn early, just weren't there! Well, we were at the park already, so instead of complaining about having only 4 hours of sleep (if even that much), we took advantage of it.
We ran over to Men in Black. I went on once, opposing my mother, and beat her by maxing out again. Since I got my 9's, I was done with MIB for the day, so as my mom went on again, I decided to walk around the park for a while.
I was heading towards Amity when I saw my stalker, and one of his friends from IOACentral. They had just gotten off of Jaws, and told me I had to go on right away, since no one else was there. A boat tour for myself? That's craziness! I told them they'd have to go with me (I act on Jaws...I'd feel weird if I was the only one...lol...at least right now...).
So the three of us went on Jaws. The skipper saw my stalker (T-10X) and started saying, "Oh no.....oh no....." lol. The three of us sat in different rows; I was in the second row, T-10X's friend was in the third row, and T-10X himself was in the forth row. We started off, the four of us, for our more personal boat tour. Sweeeeeeet!
"Who here has seen the movie Jaws?" The Skipper asked. T-10X, his friend, and I raised our hands. "All right! A full boat!!" (LOL)
When Jaws came up, and the skipper started shooting, things got a bit edgy....hehe
"You MISSED!!!!" I shouted at him.
"I KNOW I missed!" The skipper yelled back. "I missed again!!"
We got to the explosion, and the skipper said, "Oh man...this isn't good.......!"
I replied sarcastically, "Ya think?!?!"
He then went out of character, and started telling us some of the things that have happened, which included tourists suggesting he turn around instead of moving forward, towards the fire. He would spin the wheel many time while shouting, "I'm trying! I'm trying!" And yank at the level, "It won't stop moving!"
After we all laughed, we got back into character. The three of us chanted, "Go! Go! Go!" as the skipper moved forward.
We got to the dock, and see Jaws coming at us again. I screamed at the skipper, "SHOOT HIM THIS TIME!!!" He looked at me, shoved the gun in my face, and said, "YOU WANT TO SHOOT HIM?!?!"
Heh...if my hands weren't full with my stuff, I would have grabbed it!
Oh it was awesome! Hope I get that skipper again sometime...he was hysterical!
Afterward, T-10X and his friend decided to go on Men in Black. I headed over as well, knowing my mom was still over there. I waited for her outside, and wanted her to go on Jaws.
By the time we made it to Jaws, they had almost a full boat....and a different skipper. Shucks. But, it was still great!!
We then went over to New York, to see if the Mummy was running yet...it was the last day of Technical Rehearsals, and we had to ensure we got on enough times to last us until May 21!
It was open, and I saw Seagull out front. I said "hi" to him, and went on. Barely anyone was there, so it was great! I got to the unloading station, and....Seagull was there! They already switched posts. I joked how it was creepy that he was everywhere. Haha...
My mom and I went on four times in a row. At one, because my mom knows I loathe the bug scene, she tickled my knee causing me to scream bloody murder. LOL Cruel mother!!!!!!
After we did that, I noticed I was getting blisters, and went to First Aid for some bandaids. But blisters?! I've worn these shoes all week. I've hiked across my campus to all my classes, and it wasn't even 10AM and I already had Blisters!!! Less than 2 hours! Not good....!!! I didn't pack another pair of shoes, because I thought I broke them in at school. Damn.........
We headed over to the front of the park to eat lunch (were up for 5 hours already, and had no breakfast...). After, I went on Mummy, but my mom wouldn't go on, due to just eating (adds to the thrill, Mom!!! lol j/k). I've never had a problem going on rides after eating.
Mom and I then noticed a Blues Brothers Show was about to start. I stayed for about 2 or 3 songs, and then noticed the GB Show was started in 15 to 20 minutes, and I thought I'd head over there. But I didn't save my spot. I started talking to "Bob." My mom came over, and saved my spot, as I talked to him (this guy knows me better than anyone else at the park...LOL...sorta funny).
Just before the show started, I got my spot. I watched the show, said "hi" to GIO2, talked a bit more to "Bob", and then met up with Amber.
Poor Beetlejuice fell during the first show! When the plunger is supposedly stuck to the ground, and BJ gets yanked back by it, the Beetlejuice fell backwards! Whoops! He joked, "You didn't see anything!" And "Bob" didn't. He was busy with the sound effects, and didn't see what happened to BJ...and even funnier, the sound effects didn't make sense afterall due to BJ's fall. lol
Amber and I lingered near the sound booth before the next show. I was talking to "Bob" about the Mummy, and how it was last day of Technical Rehearsals. Didn't bother sitting up front since people were sitting, and we could see well enough from where we were standing (I love watching peoples' reactions to the show too).
After the show, Amber and I went on Mummy via Single Riders Line. Took us 15 minutes total...including the ride itself.
Saw the next Ghostbusters Show, and then took a certain person on Mummy...lol. Amber and I then went to KidZone, where her sister, Tabi was drooling over - I mean, visiting the Man in the Yellow Hat. hehe.
About 15 minutes or less before the next GB Show, Amber and I got to the show. After, I gave GIO2 some of my favorite pictures that I took of him...ones I thought turned out really well, and thought he may want a copy (afterall, it is of HIM). I then gave him another autographed picture, only this time, he was a GB in the photo. He joked that he'd sell it on ebay, and I told him he'd get LOTS of money for it to (lol). Ironically, the last time I gave him an autographed picture, I joked about the same thing to my mom, or Keriann, or someone. Don't remember.
We met up with my mom to see the Horror Makeup Show. It was my mom's and my favorite guys in the show...I personally hadn't seen the two in the show together, and the chemistry was there. I mean, these guys just worked so well together...the show was very enjoyable! Sometimes you have two talented people in the show, but they don't react to each others quirky comments like they should (if they claim to be "good friends" in the show). One of the best shows I've seen.
We saw the last Ghostbusters Show and my mom got Express Passes for a Graveyard Revue Show. I didn't get to see a show all day, and therefore wanted to get at least one show in.
We got in line for Express for GYR, and heard people warming up. Oh yeah...forgot about the cast change. We heard Frankenstein, and then Wolfy. It was's WOLFY1, so I was a bit disappointed at first. But then I heard his voice anyway.
"He's Dracula." Amber said.
"....what?...." I asked in disbelief.
"Clare, he's Dracula."
At that moment I was excited, yet had my doubts. Not with my luck, would I see him as Dracula...I've come close before, but always somehow miss it. However, maybe it was worse luck seeing him as Dracula without Keriann there (she made me a deal. First time I see DRAC1, she'll hold me down...LOL...like how her friend did for her at Bill and Ted's...LOL!!!!).
It was still a while before the show, and I was freaking out how I'd handle it without Keri-man. I gave Amber Keriann's job, just in case it really was DRAC1...
...and it was a good thing I did too.....haha!!!!
Okay, so I'm definitely not the type who jumps guys, we all know this (Keriann's a different story...LOL!!!). So, holding me down wasn't much of a problem....it was keeping me UP that was a bit difficult. I nearly fell out of my seat when I saw DRAC1, but thanks to Amber, I didn't. lol!!! I was just in a state of shock...despite hearing about it, and seeing pictures, and even a video (thanks to Amber!). But seeing in person....wow....completely different...in a good way. LOL
After the show I met up with the others, who were all laughing at me because of DRAC1...including some of my delayed reactions. LOL. I called Keriann, just like she called me. She was in the middle of Prom pictures, yet took the time to listen to me babble for a while...after all, she completely understood!!!
We saw the next show, and I decided to try the row behind VIP. I had forgotten what a great spot it was! Amber's mom then got my attention. I was to be taking pictures of the GYR, and she had a picture request for me. She wanted me to take a picture of someone in the audience. Oh God....I didn't know the person, but she does, so I tried to be nonchalant with it. The song playing was "Shake Senora" and I did a dorky dance, with camera in hand. I got people cracking up at me, and everything. I took the picture for Amber's mom, and danced back ("Shake, shake, shake, Senora!" *stomp stomp stomp stomp* LOL). I whispered to her, "The job is done!" And continued dancing up into the bleachers, to my seat.
Dang my photographer instincts. Take a gazillion photos to ensure you have at least one 'perfect' one....though I know it would be difficult, since we were so far away ( forgot about that ). I had Amber's roll of film to finish, plus I had my own roll. Though the thing was......I wasn't going to make them pay for the development, so I wanted to use up the pics....and the roll was a 36 exposure...Heh heh.......so as I say, "I get picture happy when I'm on a roll!"
After that, we saw the last show. Tabitha videotaped it for us, and I just decided to enjoy it...by not taking pictures (it's distracting...I don't know what's going on while taking pictures...I miss the entire show).
Then, the peoples wanted to go on Mummy. I was about to get on, but remembered I was planning on visiting someone, and therefore left, saying "bye" to the others.
DAY 2
I was exhausted! My mom and I slept in until 9:30, and took our time getting ready. Around 10:30, we ate lunch at Burger King, on Kirkman, and then made out way to the park. We were led to the roof for parking. Yikes! The crowds!
Arriving at Universal, my mom and I saw a Horror Makeup Show. It was Keriann's Prom Date, and one of our favorites (aside from the two from yesterday. Like the GB Show, and GYR, we have many favorites). They did excellent as well!!!
After that, ran over to First Aid for a few more bandaids, since the ones my mom got weren't as helpful.
It was about 15 to 20 minutes before the Ghostbusters Show, and I went over, and talked to "Bob."
"Did you come for the mic check?" He asked.
"No..."
"Did you see who was here?"
"No..."
"Oh! Well...you'll like the cast today!!" He had a huge grin on his face.
"Why? Who's here??" I asked.
"I can't say...it's a surprise........."
LOL Aaargh!! I headed over to where my mom was sitting, towards the back, and saw Keriann and her mom. I talked for them for a while, and stood with them while watching the first show.
So what was "Bob" talking about? GIRRR was there! Hadn't seen him in a GB Show for a while. GIO4 was also there, as was GICBH3, and the usual GIG. After the first show, I said "hi" to GICBH3. Keriann and her mom went to Louie's for lunch, and since Mom and I already ate, we just joined them to keep them company.
After, we got to the next GB Show. We weren't up front this time either. When the show was over, we headed straight for the Graveyard Revue to see our favorite Wolfy.
I had my mom save us a spot up in the row behind VIP, since I liked the spot the night before. Little did I realize this was a good idea........until the show started, and out comes....DRAC1?!?!?!?!?!
Keriann and I both let out a squeal --- and let me tell you, I do NOT squeal, so...this was like a first...LOL. I couldn't believe I did that, but then thanked the Lord that I didn't get front row like I do almost every other time I see the show...or else he may have heard me.
So it was a very NICE surprise...and even more of a surprise than Saturday. Saturday, I kind of prepared...but Sunday, it was the LAST thing I expected!!! And even cooler: Pockey Puppy was the Wolfman too! So we have Pocket Puppy (WOLFY2) and DRAC1! Awesomeness!!! (LOL I love Pockey Puppy's facial expressions throughout the show!!)
After the show, they had a Meet and Greet (woohoo!). Keriann and her mom started laughing at me inch over slowly towards DRAC1. Keriann got her picture with him, and Pocket Puppy, and then I did. After that, we both got one with them. I had meant to acknowledge Pocket Puppy (I talked very briefly to DRAC1), but there were other people, and I didn't want to keep them from doing their job.
So then we left, and went on Men in Black. I maxed out, and Keriann and I headed over to the GB Show. We then hung around just past the Twister Express machines, visiting with each other (Keriann, her mom, my mom, and myself...and then two peoples from Keriann's school, including Rodel).
Keriann and I then saw people heading to the show, and we quickly ran up, to get spots up front. Keriann did her lovely preshow, where she turned every song they play before the show into a Ballad. Some songs she had to make up notes for, and she was getting attention from the people around us. It was hysterical. I was watching to guy sitting next to her, who just seemed confused, and yet amused....lol
We saw the show, and were just cracking up the whole time. We then stayed for the Meet and Greet, and Keriann got her picture with GIO4. GIO4 then looked at me, and asked if I was getting a picture. I told him, "Sure" after I got Keriann's Mom's attention (to make sure she didn't mind). GIO4 then asked where my camera was, since he hadn't seen it all day (I know -- so unusual!!!!!). I told him I had to get my lens fixed.
I then climbed up a couple stairs, to what I thought was the one he was standing on. He then climbed up another, so I climbed up another. He climbed up again, and shouted, "Quit trying to be taller than me, Clare!!" Whoops! I didn't realize I was a step higher than him....oh man, am I really that short?! LOL!!!!!!! So, for the picture, I stoof TWO steps above him. It was a kewl picture!
We then got a picture. Keriann, me, and two of our favorite GBs: GIO4 and GIRRR Boy (the other two didn't even come out). Something was said, and I didn't hear it (I told you, I have bad hearing!! lol), but I heard Keriann laughing, and GIRRR calling someone "naughty." LOL Keriann informed me later about what was going on. Good thing I didn't hear, or I would have been cracking up as well!! So we got that picture.
That when we went home. Bummer! We told "Bob", "bye" And he said he'd see us next weekend. Yup!

I was exhausted! My mom and I slept in until 9:30, and took our time getting ready. Around 10:30, we ate lunch at Burger King, on Kirkman, and then made out way to the park. We were led to the roof for parking. Yikes! The crowds!
Arriving at Universal, my mom and I saw a Horror Makeup Show. It was Keriann's Prom Date, and one of our favorites (aside from the two from yesterday. Like the GB Show, and GYR, we have many favorites). They did excellent as well!!!
After that, ran over to First Aid for a few more bandaids, since the ones my mom got weren't as helpful.
It was about 15 to 20 minutes before the Ghostbusters Show, and I went over, and talked to "Bob."
"Did you come for the mic check?" He asked.
"No..."
"Did you see who was here?"
"No..."
"Oh! Well...you'll like the cast today!!" He had a huge grin on his face.
"Why? Who's here??" I asked.
"I can't say...it's a surprise........."
LOL Aaargh!! I headed over to where my mom was sitting, towards the back, and saw Keriann and her mom. I talked for them for a while, and stood with them while watching the first show.
So what was "Bob" talking about? GIRRR was there! Hadn't seen him in a GB Show for a while. GIO4 was also there, as was GICBH3, and the usual GIG. After the first show, I said "hi" to GICBH3. Keriann and her mom went to Louie's for lunch, and since Mom and I already ate, we just joined them to keep them company.
After, we got to the next GB Show. We weren't up front this time either. When the show was over, we headed straight for the Graveyard Revue to see our favorite Wolfy.
I had my mom save us a spot up in the row behind VIP, since I liked the spot the night before. Little did I realize this was a good idea........until the show started, and out comes....DRAC1?!?!?!?!?!
Keriann and I both let out a squeal --- and let me tell you, I do NOT squeal, so...this was like a first...LOL. I couldn't believe I did that, but then thanked the Lord that I didn't get front row like I do almost every other time I see the show...or else he may have heard me.
So it was a very NICE surprise...and even more of a surprise than Saturday. Saturday, I kind of prepared...but Sunday, it was the LAST thing I expected!!! And even cooler: Pockey Puppy was the Wolfman too! So we have Pocket Puppy (WOLFY2) and DRAC1! Awesomeness!!! (LOL I love Pockey Puppy's facial expressions throughout the show!!)
After the show, they had a Meet and Greet (woohoo!). Keriann and her mom started laughing at me inch over slowly towards DRAC1. Keriann got her picture with him, and Pocket Puppy, and then I did. After that, we both got one with them. I had meant to acknowledge Pocket Puppy (I talked very briefly to DRAC1), but there were other people, and I didn't want to keep them from doing their job.
So then we left, and went on Men in Black. I maxed out, and Keriann and I headed over to the GB Show. We then hung around just past the Twister Express machines, visiting with each other (Keriann, her mom, my mom, and myself...and then two peoples from Keriann's school, including Rodel).
Keriann and I then saw people heading to the show, and we quickly ran up, to get spots up front. Keriann did her lovely preshow, where she turned every song they play before the show into a Ballad. Some songs she had to make up notes for, and she was getting attention from the people around us. It was hysterical. I was watching to guy sitting next to her, who just seemed confused, and yet amused....lol
We saw the show, and were just cracking up the whole time. We then stayed for the Meet and Greet, and Keriann got her picture with GIO4. GIO4 then looked at me, and asked if I was getting a picture. I told him, "Sure" after I got Keriann's Mom's attention (to make sure she didn't mind). GIO4 then asked where my camera was, since he hadn't seen it all day (I know -- so unusual!!!!!). I told him I had to get my lens fixed.
I then climbed up a couple stairs, to what I thought was the one he was standing on. He then climbed up another, so I climbed up another. He climbed up again, and shouted, "Quit trying to be taller than me, Clare!!" Whoops! I didn't realize I was a step higher than him....oh man, am I really that short?! LOL!!!!!!! So, for the picture, I stoof TWO steps above him. It was a kewl picture!
We then got a picture. Keriann, me, and two of our favorite GBs: GIO4 and GIRRR Boy (the other two didn't even come out). Something was said, and I didn't hear it (I told you, I have bad hearing!! lol), but I heard Keriann laughing, and GIRRR calling someone "naughty." LOL Keriann informed me later about what was going on. Good thing I didn't hear, or I would have been cracking up as well!! So we got that picture.
That when we went home. Bummer! We told "Bob", "bye" And he said he'd see us next weekend. Yup!
