Just starting to listen to the podcasts, and it's SO good to hear everyone's voices again!

One minor detail though on the Marceline to MK show...it was Brandy that was a fine girl and would make a good wife. Manilow did the only Mandy I can think of at the moment. Still, I LOVE the quick comeback all the same!

...and The Smithereens were(are?) a great indie band. I sang at the top of my lungs to their tunes driving back and forth from home during University. I would love to be at that Velvet Session. They weren't hugely well known at the time and definitely not mainstream. I was surprised to hear they are being featured...that was a blast from the past.

Funny, I always pictured Mandy as a dog-faced girl (a really cute one!)...I was four when the song came out and our family's best friends had a dog named Mandy. Weird how kids' minds work.
