April 13, 2008 (4/13/2008) Anyone else?

Anyone have a teen going???

My youngest DD is 12 and I see there are a few that age going and she will hook up with Laura's DD anyway
but my oldest is 14 and was wondering if there were any other teens she could maybe "meet" before the cruise and than meet up on the cruise.

Can't wait to book the excursions
my kids and DH keep changing what they want to do
but the one thing they have kept constant is they want to see the pirates museum.

Just wanted to wish everyone luck with any reservatiosn that they are going to try to make tonight!
I'm looking at Palo for brunch for DH and I
The Stingray adventure at Castaway Cay
Maybe Ardastra Gardens in Nassau as well as a wallking tour and the straw market.

MY DS is 16 and DD is 12 if anyone wants to "meet" ahead of time feel free to PM and I'll have the kids respond!

We are out of school today so my DD12 is going to type something up and I will send it to you!

We are going to try to get the Catamaran Snorkeling in Nassau for DH and DD12. DD7 and I want to just hang out on the ship and swim and relax. I can't do a lot of walking and since they don't allow wheelchairs we figured it was best to just split up for that. We may try to go to the Pirate Museum in the afternoon in Nassau if we feel up to it.

I don't think we will sign up for anything at CC. We will probaby bring our own Snorkel stuff and we have our own inflatable floats I will brin. DH said he may do a Kayak rental but I think you have to just rent those there right?

Oh, and Kayla and I are going to try for a girls only brunch at Palo. If we can't get it tonight we will try again on the ship.

hi welcome!

my dd is 8 !
our first timee cruise as well, lol, ...hope we like it as i already booked for podcast cruise 2009 :rotfl:

I have a DD that will be 8 when we cruise also! Maybe they could send each other a PM to say Hi before the cruise they will also know someone in the Kids area.

She and her younger sister (6) cannot stop talking about
the cruise. Every morning the trip to school is non-stop
questions of how many more days...what are we going to
do...why can't we go tomorrow? I know see the benefit
of the element of surprise (although I do not think I would
have been able to keep that kind of secret!!).

:dance3: :dance3:

Can my 8 year old send yours a PM to say HI and introduce herself? That way they will "know" someone on the ship! Will you put her in the older kids group or with the younger ones with her sister?

So how did everyone do? I'm beat today because that was way past my bedtime. First I hit a glitch in the system that said I wasn't paid in full:scared1: , then something about verifying birthdays:scared1: , then at 12:12 it let me in:hippie: --too weird. I was able to book my excursions and our Palo Brunch and spa treatment:woohoo: . I think DS wants to do the banana boat, but I wasn't waking him to find out--I'll just add it later! Registered DD for the kids club--she wants to be with the 12 yo group--honestly I think that she and DS talked and came to the conclusion that they didn't always want to be together--sounded fair to me!
I hope everyone was able to get in more easily than I was and that you got everything!:cloud9:

Very strange patsal, I got that exact same error and freaked out! Kayla was able to make my reservations for me and they all showed up this morning.

I am wondering if this cruise won't be very full. When I looked this morning there were still a lot of things left-- like the Palo dinner and stuff that normall are booked up. It seems like I always read here that a lot of people can't even get those reservations at the 75 day mark.

I haven't registered my kids for the clubs yet. I figure I can do that in the next few days.

You daughter can absolutely send a PM to say hi to my daughter. I think she will be even more excited to be looking for someone she already "knows" there! My plan at this point is to let her be with the older kids group. I think she will have more fun that way.

My dw (28) and I (27) will be joining all of you too, first time cruisers. We're very excited to share the excitement with our ds (will be 12 months), any others with infants?!?

Does my DH count as an Infant??;) :lmao: :lmao:
sorry couldn't resist

Hi!

My DH and I and our DDs, 5 and 8, will be on this one!! This is our first time on a Disney cruise. Our girls are excited!!:cheer2:

We're staying at the Port Orleans for the 3 days previous.

We have 1563 hours to go!

yea!!! Another 8 year old! I have an 8 year old girl that is going and she is so excited!

my dd is 8 as well

we got everything we wanted booked, we did want palo for lunch but only managed 2 x 2 tables rather than a table for 4 though,

Just bumping, what a great idea to get the kids to know one another a bit. Mine are getting really excited about the cruise now. Now I'm going to spend next week (our school break) sorting through clothes in case I have to purchase anything.

Hi everyone! This is our first Disney cruise, and our daughters' ( 5 and 7) first cruise ever. They're getting pretty psyched! We're doing WDW first for 3 days, staying at the Port Orleans French Quarter. NIce to see others going with us!

Hi everyone,
I can't believe vacation time is almost here :cool1:!! We booked a couple of shore excursions yesterday so we just need to find out our flight time so we can finish off our plans for the big surprise. I think our travel agent said they'd let us know on March 8. The plan is to travel to our departure city where my family lives, have a birthday party and have a limo pick us up and take us straight to the airport. I feel a little bad our son isn't part of the planning, but can't wait to see the look on his face when he finds out!!

Does anyone who's cruised with Disney before know what the typical dinner time dress code is? Do they have a formal night?

Cathy, Bryan and Riley :)

Wonder, April '08 (shhhh, it's a surprise)
