Deb, Thanks for the answers. YOU CAN'T LEAVE YET!! I STILL HAVE QUESTIONS!! :scared1:

We have 6 teens who are so thrilled out of their heads about this cruise, and they can not figure why anybody wouldn't be excited! :confused3

Although our oldest teen, who is 16 but turning 17 a week after we get back, is NOT thrilled about actually having rules to obey!! Her mom said, "What? Did she think we were going to say 'goodbye' to her when we boarded and not see her again for 7 days????"

Bev

I cant stop laughing at all the money we spend at "Walmart" for those must have things. What about what we have spent on the waxing, pedis etc. oh yes we dont count that. My DH actually had his first pedi with me yesterday.(dont tell him I announced it on the boards:}) I had to go out and buy a new suitcase because I realized that mine was to big for the airline and would have cost me $75 each way! I did get everything in and the cases are red and my DH stenciled Mickey on them they really look cute! Ok my count down says for us 1 day 8 hours 12 min! till we leave. Have great flights and drives everyone!!!!!

ok gang. I couldn't sleep so I am up and cleaned. I am worried about parking at Westchester. Like i have nothing else to worry about.

Have a safe trip everyone. I will see you in a few!

Deb

Hi Bev,

My teen Drew(14) would be thrilled if he had a friend or his cousins with him.
We usually take a friend or cousin on vacation but not this time because we are evil parents whose only mission in life is to make him miserable (he thinks).

Once he meets some of the other teens he will fine. Thats the problem him meeting people because he is shy.

Loves sports and is right in the middle of his tournament basketball season. So I will banish him to the hoops during the day. At 14 has a little charm about him that the girls like for some reason (scares me!) . So he will mingle with the girls as well.

Anyone staying at the parks Friday night? We are staying at the Boardwalk.

Kathy

PS I am off to Walmart again.

Since you let it out, I will too. My DH came with me on Saturday and had a pedi done to! Its called a "gentleman's pedi" He loved the chair, and the hot water for his feet to soak, but he was not thrilled with someone touching his toes...I told him he was lucky she did do pink polish on them. !

Friday we are off at 4am...:scared1: No dunkin donuts till the airport.

Well, I think I've seen the last of our local WalMart. :woohoo:

We are 90% packed ... I just need to finish mine off and do the toiletries. I spread the toiletries out amongst the kids bags as well to off-set the weight of my bag. All of those lotions and bottles sure do make a huge difference ... plus ... more room for SHOES! :thumbsup2

Phil is a huge pedicure fan ... been getting them done for years ... loves them. So his arsey will be in that pedicure chair tonight right along with me and the kids. Shawn is VERY tickelish and it is hysterical to see him get a pedicure ... just too funny.

I didn't get to do the list last night (Sorry Deb, I know you had to leave already) but I will get it done today. Maybe I will do it now, as a matter of fact.

We leave around 6:15am on Friday for a 7:55am flight. The kids are just tooooooooo excited. I think we decided on Rainforest Cafe once we are off the flight and in our rental car ... I'm sure we'll all be hungry by then.

Kat

Deb,

The last one I did is in post #939 ... I think that there were a few small changes that needed to be done that I will definitely get to this evening so everyone has a correct list before leaving.:surfweb:

Wow ... crunch time!!

We are having a pre-cruise pizza party tonight and hosting Cindy and the kids ... we are going to watch the DCL show from the travel channel :3dglasses popcorn:: and also Gabi made gifts for the kids and she is super excited to give them out so we figured it would be fun. They will all be so razzed up they won't want to go to school the next two days. :lmao:

I got a note from Shawn's teacher today saying that he can't concentrate on his work and he just keeps walking over to the calendar and showing everyone when he leaves. :rotfl2: I think he's the only teenager that is THRILLED to be going on this boat, am I wrong? :rolleyes1 LOL

Kat

Tommy is pretty excited too. Or maybe it is just that I will stop talking about the cruise. :rotfl2:

Sorry its King Charming http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1758975

he and his wife have a free 7 day curise and he is keeping track of how much it is costing him for the free trip...He is upt to 4,000 it is too funny and i can see all the costs adding up as he writes.

That is what my SIL always says, even when you are treated to a vacation by someone else, it always cost you something. But at least it is less than what it would have cost to pay for the whole thing. Personally I don't know anything about a free vacation.

OK, just so you know, I still haven't packed! I am just not in the mood to be that organized, but I should start since tonight is Tommy's band concert, tomorrow Kayla has Tap class in the evening and on Friday we are going to squeeze ballet in on the way to the airport! Recital is only 1 1/2 weeks after the cruise ends, so they are still working out the kinks.

Mani & pedi are scheduled for tomorrow during the day. I will have to polish Kayla's nails myself, because she has no time to go with me.

I think I have to make one more trip to Walmart. I think I have been there everyday in the past week and TWICE yesterday. They must love Disney cruises too. Yesterday I was buying some fabric to make sashed for the guys (which I haven't done yet either, and redyed t-shirts today because they needed more color) and the woman said someone else was buying fabric for pirate costumes. (maybe another cruiser?) I returned $46. worth of stuff in the morning and then bought $85. worth of stuff in its place.

I will see everyone on Saturday!!!

Ok, I don't really have anything productive to add ... just that I totally LOVE seeing this little guy rolling around on the floor! :rotfl2: and this little guy is hysterical too!! :lmao: with his little mohawk hairdo!

omg, i'm losing it.

OMG - you are too much!
I like this one! :cool1:

and here I am right now  as I am putting the finishing touches on my last work email.... well right after I read the rest of the thread of course...

I think I need to get blocked from this site. I read and reply on the board instead of getting acomplished. At this point I am in overload and do not know where to start other than to go out and spend more money on some last minute things
Kathy

Did you notice that two other husbands had (pedicures) done too!

And if those two husbands spent the entire cruise eating hot dogs and drinking beer, does that mean I should eat hot dogs and drink beer too?

Come to think of it, that's not a half bad idea. hmmmmm :cool2:

Sounds like SOMEONE might be looking for an excuse to eat hot dogs and drink beer all week!! :rotfl2:

Well, you won't see my husband setting THAT example. He's the GRUMPY one ... he's dieting down for a bodybuilding competition in June and he's super mean with no carbs in him, lol. He'll most likely be in the gym :yay: doing his obligatory 55 mins of cardio a day or running around frantically trying to find more chicken. :lmao:

More hot dogs and beer for you!

Kat,
We're on the 7:55am Jet Blue flight out of White Plains on Friday. Is this your flight too? We'll be at the Country Inns for the day.

It's official, my husband broke his foot. The ortho isn't going to put a cast on it. He'll be the one at the pool with his foot propped up and a bag of ice on it with a drink in his hand. The doc did say excursions might be a problem, but we didn't book any. I'm sure he'll hobble off the boat to get to the Guavaberry store-we love that stuff! I ended up ordering a case of it once they were able to ship to the states.

The toes will have to wait until tomorrow along with putting the stuff in suitcases. Two more days and we're out of here!!

Here I sit at work 'taking a break' when there is so much to get done. My counter notes 1 day, 17 hours, 20 minutes until departure.

We are flying to WDW on Friday and spending the night at Port Orleans Riverside. Pick up is at noon for the DCL motocoach to the Port.

I made a trip to Wal-mart at lunch time too :). I think it was my last.

We had an accident in our household too. My son was in a car accident on Monday night so it is in the shop for an estimate. He is not coming on the trip and thankfully he was not hurt. Just angry that is car is hurt!

I can't forget I have a final exam tonight for my college course.

Did I miss something some where? I don't think I've met "Poker Grumpy" before. If you're new, "welcome aboard." If not, "I'm old!" :confused3

Mother-of-sons, you are not nearly as evil a mother as I am. When the boys get together they can compare notes on how mean their moms are, and I'm gonna win!!! :rotfl:

Shouldn't WalMart be giving us group discounts?????

I have to go to the dive shop for a water-proof case; Babies-R-Us for a couple of Neat Sheets; Staples for some bubble wrap and other stuff; Big 5 Sports for a UV shirt for the very Norwegian-skinned DH; and, of couse, back to the big "W" for miscellaneous items!!

Meanwhile, I'm sewing pirate vests!!! So why am I on the computer????
