We are planning on being at the pool at 2pm, and staying until just before the drill. I will have Tommy with me, so that is at least one person for Drew to meet.

We are using Happy Limo, being picked up at the Hyatt Sat morning and then they take us to the Beach Club afterward. We booked for a van, figuring it is cheaper than the limo and holds more luggage than the town car. We have used them before and were "happy".

I shopped today looking for a new camera lense at Costco and ended up with more clothes! Which was good because the kids had alot that didn't fit from last summer. And then I came home and tye dyed shirts, and made a mess. I now have blue dye on the walkway, wait till Tom see that. Most of it came off my hands now, just a little blue and yellow left.

I think I am done shopping, and I should really start packing. I did iron a little today.

We got an confirm email today.
I went to pick up perscriptions tonight and I think I am done shopping. The boys and I are packed - just a small pile of stuff next to the suitcases that need to get tucked. I think dh is packed but I am leaving him on his own with the list I made him

Now I have to finish up my work and print signs. I think I might make it! Although I still have about 30 hrs worth of work to do! and I am leaving in 41 hrs!

Question 1 -- It has been suggested that you plan a scavenger hunt for kids to help them get to know the Magic. Does anyone have such an activity already ready to share?

Question 2 - Do you have to pay extra for the food from the Cove Cafe?

Any and all food on board is free I believe--although I have never ordered anything in the cove cafe. The only free alcohol I have had on the cruise is at our concierge reception. Food is free anywhere. Soda is only free at the soda station. I believe there is a charge at the bars and from the servers on deck.

Do NOT add an extra tip to an acohol/drink slip unless you know you want to. The tip is included but is only 15%. I had a server run to another bar on the ship to get me a particular drink---and he got tipped well.

The ship is pretty easy to figure out. There is a hidden mickey scavenger hunt and it is listed somewhere on the board.

Finished most of the packing last night and decided that I'm bringing way to many clothes....but I don't know what not to bring! Two suitcases for each of us!! (one large-one small)

Oh well...I'll probably end up bringing back half the stuff unworn....my daughter and I are so excited for this trip to begin!

The Cove Cafe serves specialty drinks and coffees so you do have to pay for them. Some of the coffee drinks may come with a biscotti.

Cool. I don't think I've ever been in there except to use the computer.

I may even venture to the adult pool this time.

I am off to the kennel with the dogs. A major half a day adventure. But it is worth it with this long a stay.

Ok, what is going on with the family members of this board? We've had car accidents, broken limbs and in the past day in my own family I slammed my DS's hand in my car door and my husband fell wallking from the train to work this morning hurting his ankle. UGH!

I'm hoping for smooth sailing and no trips to the medical center

Wow!!! You guys have been busy!! I haven't been on in a while! Well we are late seating as well and we will be doing long dresses and Tux for formal and dresses and suits for semi formal. The pirate pictures looked great! We are busy running around getting all our last minute things done!!!!! Trying to keep everyone healthy We will be at the pool meet as well. Look forward to meeting everybody

Then when I get home I have to finish packing my clothes and throw in all the last minute stuff that I keep forgetting and going to buy. The last one I did is in post #939 ... I think that there were a few small changes that needed to be done that I will definitely get to this evening so everyone has a correct list before leaving.

Wow ... crunch time!!

We are having a pre-cruise pizza party tonight and hosting Cindy and the kids ... we are going to watch the DCL show from the travel channel and also Gabi made gifts for the kids and she is super excited to give them out so we figured it would be fun. They will all be so razzed up they won't want to go to school the next two days.

I got a note from Shawn's teacher today saying that he can't concentrate on his work and he just keeps walking over to the calendar and showing everyone when he leaves. I think he's the only teenager that is THRILLED to be going on this boat, am I wrong? LOL

he and his wife have a free 7 day curise and he is keeping track of how much it is costing him for the free trip...He is upt to 4,000 it is too funny and i can see all the costs adding up as he writes.

I have to say I felt MUCH better when I realized I wasn't the only one this was happening too! Helped me realized I wasn't going crazy....or at least if I am I will have lots of company

That reminds me I have to go out tonight and pick up a prescription...wonder what else I forgot to get, and I will remember once I see it!

We are down to leaving in 12 hours. I got so tired of packing, I just starting shoving clothes in when it came to me. LOL! I am wearing white even before memorial day---will they make me walk the plank!

I get so freaked out the night before flying. I grew up a TWA brat and have flown for most of my life, but something happened when I had kids. I hate traveling. Last time on a cruise, our limo got a flat in the rain and we missed our flight. I was in tears. We ended up paying full fare first class to get our butts down there. So, I get this way until I am sitting in that terminal.

I have had one beer and I am thinking about another to keep my hands from shaking. Deep breathing will either help or make me dizzy enough not to care.

A quick trip to Walmart for Dramanine has cost $237.43.
WHAT DID I GET!!!!!

I have not started packing yet. I have to get the dog to the kennel.
Pick up dry cleaning. Take kids to baseball and football practice, manicure, pedicure and get my eyebrows done. Let's not forget my job that requires to large projects completed by tomorrow night. What time does the bar open on the ship Saturday? I can not wait to sit down, have a drink ( I am thinking French Martini) and finally meet all all of you.

I have to say that it has been the best experience chatting on the board. I use the internet for everthing but I never got involved in the disboards. I would highly recommend it thanks to all of you. The information and tips all of you provide and the sense of "family" created is amazing. Now lets see how we feel after we meet each other and have a few drinks...Just kidding.
Who is going to be the wild one.. There is always one just like at a wedding.

And was I complaining I did not pack, but I can sit here and read and respond.

Hi everyone,

It's about crunch time...Sunday, I went to buy 1 pair of white sandals. ended up with white pair & black pair, new dress and shorts/top. Haven't made it on my Walmart run yet. I think DH (Dennis) will have a heart attack. Planning on stopping by liquor store to buy my Justin Merlot, getting mani/pedicure and eyebrows waxed. Have most clothes packed, shoes aside and hanging clothes. DH started getting his things together. Tried on our pirates outfits and will have fun with that, we should try and see each other on pirate night for those getting dressed up, it should be a hoot.
We are dressing up Formal night beaded midcalf length dress and DH suit, we'll be at Palo's. Semiformal will be dress and DH will will sportscoat/slacks.
Our room number is 6590.
We'll be at the port early and plan on stopping by at the meet on deck.
