April 10th, Easter in a Cat 1. Part 8

Cast: Me-LeiLani(40), DH-Rich(41), DD-Brittany(15) aka Dale, DD's friend-Brittney (15) aka Chip, & DD-Alyssa(8). Cabin 8030 Walt's Suite. Our 4th cruise, Brittney's 1st cruise.

Also joining us are: FIL-Charles(PaPa) & MIL-Pat(Nanny). Cabin 6048 and their 1st DCL cruise.

Saturday – Debarkation

Well, it was the day that everyone dreads. It was time to leave the Magic and return to reality. Rich go up early to go meet with customs. We were only over our allowance by $73 dollars, but we were way over in the number of liters of alcohol we could bring home. The customs officer just kind of laughed and signed off on our customs form, and we didn’t have to pay anything. We got everyone up and headed down to our 8am breakfast. It was hard leaving that big beautiful room but we had to go. After having that room, I am not sure how we are going to fit into a Cat 3 for 10 days at Christmas. We said our goodbyes to Iso, Roger, and Jeff. They were a great serving team. :happy2:

Happy Limo was there with the Hummerzine again and we were off to the airport. The flight home was pretty good and we arrived home late Saturday evening. It was a great trip. We enjoyed being able to share the Disney cruise with Rich’s Mom & Dad. They seemed to really have a good time.

Some final thoughts.

We really had a great time and loved staying in the Cat 1. We are on the wait list for a Cat 1 for summer 2005, 2006, & 2007, so maybe we will get to cruise in it again someday. The concierge team was very pleasant and efficient. We received a plate of goodies every afternoon, along with sodas and water every day. They would stop by every day to check on us and to see if there was anything we needed. All of the excursions we did during the week turned out to be a lot of fun and very enjoyable. We really did not get the excellent speech everyone talks about except for the first night. After that first night, Iso just spoke to us after to dinner to make sure everything had been okay. We had a wonderful time meeting all the other DISers on board and I really want to thank Melissa(neverlandclub) for the beautiful bear she gave me. Melissa it almost brought me to tears when I squeezed its paw and I heard the ships horn. You are so sweet and you have a beautiful family. Hopefully we will all meet up again on the Thanksgiving 2005 cruise. To all the other DISers out there, we had a really great time and enjoyed meeting all of you. Hopefully we will meet up again sometime.

Oh LeiLani, you are such a doll. Glad you liked your teddy. I hope we meet again soon. After reading your posts I realized we never asked about Palo room service though I had read that concierge guests could do it, so I am really bummed I missed extra souffles. Oh well. I hope to see you in Nov 2005. We have adjoining Cat 4's but are waitlisted for a Cat 3 as well. Hope it works, hoping for some pixie dust. Anyway, miss you all. Maybe we will meet up even sooner as we are both DVC members.

Thanks for the great trip report. Thanks for being you and taking the Dis meet under your wing and getting us all organized. I really think we have all made some really great long lasting friendships.

It is hard to imagine how totally strange people from all different walks of life can really hit it off together. I just guess it's that "Disney Magic".

Thanks again for all your hospitality.

Here's hoping your wait list comes through for the Thanksgiving 2005 cruise. It would be great to get us back together again.

Thank you so much. It's hard to believe I miss seeing all my new DIS friends. I did book a Cat 4 today and like Melissa we are on the wait list for a Cat 3 so we will see what happens. Keeping our fingers crossed.
