>> April 1, 2012 - Disney Dream Spring Break Frenzy! <<

We're on late seating, so if that list gets started, feel free to add us on. The lists from the last cruise sound SO funny! Something I totally would have been a part of. Too cute!! :lmao:

Different topic...my hubby just downloaded the Disneyland Explorer app on our iPad. It's totally free, and is SO COOL!!! Check it out asap, there is soooo much on it. Right now he's doing Soarin' - the music is making me sooo anxious to be on this trip! They don't have one for Disney World yet, but this one is still pretty sweet. Check it out!!

Happy Valentine's Day to all you Spring Break Frenzy-ers! Hope it's been a great day for you. We surprised my husband for lunch (he's a local teacher and has a quick lunch where he's able to come home, and I homeschool, so we often have lunch at home together). Made one of his favorite meals, the kids decorated the table with the tablecloth, candles, flowers, etc., and we made a playlist of all the Disney classics love songs to play during lunch. So fun!

If you do add dining info to the list - DH and I have the late seating.

I also hope that everyone had a very Happy Valentine's Day.... it was a nice day all around here as DH surprised me with a card and candy. Now it's time to sit back and watch some Buckeye basketball!

:woohoo:

Oh yeah! O - H - !!! Looking a lot better than last Saturday, huh?? :cheer2:

I know everyone here is fully aware of this, but the cruise is about 45 days away!! My kids asked me recently that question, and I said "55 or so." Wow, was I off. Starting to dot my T's and cross my I's at this point.

We're now leaning toward the Atlantis Aquaventure in Nassau. A bit pricey, but some of the best memories are from family vacations. I still recall the excellent helicopter ride we did over Grand Cayman Island on our second DCL cruise. So cool to see the Magic from overhead!

Also, could our roll call be updated to list stateroom 8023?

I consider myself a DCL veteran but I'm starting to get nervous about all the "newness" of the Dream and how I'm going to adjust to the ship.

I - O!

Yes they are looking better than Sat. but I'm still a little nervous with some of the foul calls being made........ :(

:cheer2:

Ok I can't take the wait anymore, I think I'm breaking out the summer clothes bin and at least getting things started, it will drive my wife nuts but oh well after ten years of marriage she can deal with it.

That is what I have for now...
Just couldn't resist making a list!
By the way, my favorite list from last year's cruise was the "Shoe Obsession" and "My DH just doesn't get it..." I continue to struggle with my shoe obsession and this year we are flying. Have no idea how I am going to limit myself AND it doesn't help that DSW Shoe Warehouse just opened here in Annapolis!

VA Mouseman - update the Roll Call to reflect your stateroom number. If anyone else wants their Stateroom # or floor level listed in the roll call, let me know.

The FE exchange is two weeks away from closing. Let me know if anyone else wants to be added. Thanks!!

Hi Everyone!

We are getting so excited! Less than 45 days until we sail-away :)

We got a cabin assignment yesterday (We were guaranteed category 9A) and drum roll please.....

We were upgraded to a 5C!!! WAHOO! We are officially in cabin 7058 with a veranda - can't believe it!

We are scheduled for late dining right now, but are on a waiting list for the early seating. No idea how that will play out?

Upgrade question...

We booked a standard stateroom banking on the fact that we won't be in the room much and with the possibility we upgrade at port. I checked this morning on the DCL website and found a surprising number of rooms still available. Realisticly what are the odds if I wait to get to the port that I will still be able to upgrade my room?

As you're making another list, feel free to add us to the late seating one! I would also be interested in the nightly drink or bar crawl or whatever you want to call it. I think once DD gets into her group I'm certainly going to have some free time. Someone also mentioned the beer mug thing, which I was also considering. Has anyone tried it?

Thanks! I'm very excited (if you can't tell)! We'll be on CC for the wedding so I fully expect there to be loiterers and I'm not really the least bit worried. The side-by-side would be interesting. I see you're coming from Switzerland. DF and I are going to be living in Barcelona for a while and really want to get over to Switzerland, so maybe I can look you up on here later and ask for some suggestions?

You bet. I am happy to share ideas of things to see and places to go. In Switzerland and elsewhere in Europe. I have taken the opportunity to explore many places since moving here 8 and a half years ago. Ask away...anytime. And Barcelona......lovely lovely place.

I have taken it on to keep the list of the Drinking Buddies. Let me know if you want to be added to the list for Evening Night Cap drinks as we rotate through the lounges of the District. I'll finalize times and rotation either closer to the time or once on board based upon the Navigator events.

When I look at the website, our sailing does not even show as a choice anymore. Are you sure you were finding rooms available for April 1?

My group of 30 are all early seating and be sure to add me to the "My DH just doesn't get it..." list!

The last family in my group has finally been assigned a room number!! I'm so glad to have everyone assigned. We're all over the ship...1 family on deck 8; 3 families on deck 7; 5 on deck 7 in the "awesome corner" (4 groups all got rooms right next to each other somehow); DF and I are on deck 5 (5544); and 2 families on deck 2. Luckily, DSIL is making us door signs so we can keep track of each other! Whew!

I'm pretty interested in this "shoe" group... :rolleyes1 DF says I buy too many. I swear I'm not really into shoes THAT much, but you can't own just ONE pair! I need a separate bag for this cruise though for sure... ;)

We are in stateroom 6010... the picture with my ID is the stateroom door my DH made for us.... counting the moments...
Oh and you can sign me up for the "Shoe Obsession"... wonder if we should see who out of the group wears the most shoes...

Hi all,

I'm the DH of my DW "micks" so please don't count me twice in any of the lists! Safe to say we're all really looking forward to the trip and are counting the days.

I had a thought tonight about the meet - what about holding a 50/50 for GKTW? The way I understand it to work is that anyone who wants to play puts in a certain amount of money - say $10 or $20 - and then there is a raffle. The winner gets 50% of the total, and the remaining 50% gets donated to GKTW.

I don't know if this has been done before for these meets, or even if Disney Cruise would allow such a thing, but thought I would throw it out there.

Any thoughts?

Let me know and I'll be happy to organize if there's enough interest!

Thanks,

Scott

Hey Christopher - add me to the Drinking Buddies list... Hoping to make it this year since I will have DH with me! Can leave Connor in the adjoining room to my parents - where my Dad should be snoring away by 10pm!! :rolleyes1
