What if you already have a Disney Credit Card, will you automatically receive the card or do you have to apply?

Not sure, but I intend to cancel my current Disney Credit Card since it obviously has no benefits. I will use the new one exclusively for my Disney purchases just like my current card.

The new visa card is a cobranded card, so it's seperate from the Disney Credit Card...

you earn "points" similar to other cobranded cards (delta skymiles card etc.) and after you earn enough points you get credit to use towards purchases at Disney Stores, Disney Land, or WDW...

not the cruise line though, at least not yet. you can pay for your cruise with it, and earn points, just can't redeem them for cruise vacations.

DH doesn't like to give personal info on the internet so he called the number to apply. They asked for a code to find out where he heard aout the card. When he gave them the code they acted like it was wrong. He applied anyway so I guess we will see what happens. For sure won't make it to us before we leave for the cruise. Has anyone else called instead of apply over the internet?

I thought this was being offered through Bank One but the link says First USA. When I clicked on the link it mentioned the new Disney credit card from Bank One strange??? ARe they the same company???

Thanks for the heads-up! I just applied through the DVC Member website....as someone posted earlier, not only will your card by identified by the Day 1, it will also identify you as a DVC Member, but only if you apply using the button on the DVC Member website.

This is GREAT! We have the balance to pay on our suite by March 25. If we're lucky, we'll charge a chunk of change right off the bat, get the 1% for it, have six months to pay it off at 0% interest...then pay it off with DH's bonus in April.

I applied for the card and will use it to pay off my Oct cruise, but I will want to get the Disney 'reward' 1% rebate before I leave. That way, I can actually *use* the rebate.

Will it come in the form of Disney Dollars? or, something else?

Anyone know how long until you can get your rebate?

I just applied over the phone, I also don't like putting all that info online. The guy who took my info, speed read all the terms of the card so fast it was unbelievable, however said that I would get the card in 30 days.

I applied over the phone too! Wasn't that something, when they read the terms & conditions?!! Don't know if you all are familiar w/Bank One (aka First USA), but we have our BP Visa rewards card with them (for about 8 years) and we have never had a problem.
