Apply discount after booking

I've seen this mentioned in a few posts but I wanted to ask the question directly.

If I book my stay now with no discount available and Disney announces a discount for that timeframe, can I still be eligible? How does that work? Do I call my TA or Disney reservations and just ask? (I hope so - life is already complicated enough!!) TIA!!

Yup you got it. If you are eligible your TA or Disney (depending on how you booked) will be able to apply the discount. You can also consider switching to take advantage of a discount as long as you aren't too close to your trip.

Yes, if a special comes out that includes your dates and your resort and room category you can call (if you made the reservation yourself) or contact your TA (if your TA made the reservation) and as long as there room availability you can apply the special to your reservation. Because rooms are limited for specials, call as soon as the special is bookable. Also, you might have to be flexible and change resorts or room category to take advantage of a special.

Did this just last week with no problem. Applied annual pass discount to our existing reservation.
