Apple discounts

I'm looking to buy a new Macbook and I know there aren't many discounts that Apple usually offers. I do know that as a teacher I qualify for 10% discount and they are running a special that you get a free IPOD touch now if you buy any laptop but other than that, does anyone know any other promotions, even if it's not from the apple store. I'm willing to purchase the macbook from an authorized dealer. TIA!

We got my lap top (basic Macbook) through Mac Connection for $833, I think. It was on sale and then they had a mail in rebate. The rebate went through (I know not all rebates are legit but this one was). So look around at the Mac stores and you might find a better deal.

I had a co-worker (a teacher) price match the apple teacher discount at Best Buy and then be able to use a coupon on top of that. I don't remember all the details, but you could check out Best Buy to see what they offer.

It is for faculty or students K-12 or Higher Education. I got one and my hubby got one. Ended up selling my Itouch to defray part of the cost of the computer. Had it gone it 30 minutes using an online listing service. The kid was happy (I sold it at a fair price below retail) and I was happy!

I LOVE MY MAC! I can't believe I didn't switch to the dark side years ago!

The education discount is also for anyone serving at a PTA/PTO President for the school. You can also get a free wireless printer along with the itouch (and the education discount).

The free Ipod touch they are offering is the 8GB for $199.

My DD's, who will be entering college in the fall, both just bought Macbooks on Monday. They also each got a free HP wireless printer worth $100.

You have to buy the printer & the Ipod & then send in for the rebate, which was simple (done on-line).

My oldest DD already has a Mac & I'm seriously thinking of getting on myself. I asked & was told that I could use her student number to purchase mine to get the free promotions.

Everyone in our house already has the Ipod touch, so I will be using the 2 we just got for my business (a dance studio) & then I will most likely raffle off the other one to raise funds for dance conventions.

I got my macbook at best buy last year and they price matched the teacher price at apple (I believe they maybe knocked an extra $10 off too) and gave me the free ipod touch... no rebate necessary.

You can also look into buying a refurbished one from apple, I bought a Mac Book Pro from them and I was very happy with it noproblems at all with it, and you also get the same warrenty with it as if you bought it new and you can also purchase there extended warrenty from them.
