This is kind of gross but I had to share because I'm so thrilled, hehe! I've had this stupid plantar wart on the bottom of my foot for nearly 16 years, sad I know. I've tried a great many things to rid myself of this little monster and none seemed to work. I read a while back online about Apple Cider Vinegar and started treating it every single night and sometimes day for the past two months. Well this morning I looked at it and it's almost entirely gone, I'm so excited and can't wait to go get a pedicure without being embarrassed over my feet! I know they're the kind of thing people don't like to talk about so I wanted to share this remedy because it works incredibly well and if anyone else is suffering out there, I would definitely recommend this!

Thanks for the tip. I'll have to tell my teenaged son about this. He has had some warts for years, too. A long time ago, the pediatrician told us that they would fall out eventually. We've tried some things that haven't worked, and he's really tired of the warts.

You're welcome! Just a tip, the vinegar can start to cause the wart to hurt A LOT. I only tolerated this for one afternoon and decided to go back to sealing it up with duct tape during the day and applying the vinegar in the evening and before bedtime. This may be why it took a little longer than it usually does, but the results have been the same.

I read you should soak a cotton ball in the vinegar and then tape or band-aid it to the wart and leave it like that for a couple of days and then change it for a fresh one until it's gone. I am on Round three of a treatment for warts on my knee (of all places!). All the things we've done before aren't working and my insurance resets at the end of the year so I only have until Dec 31 to let the dermatologist figure it out...then it's vinegar time.

So far we'vew tried the heavy duty prescription strength salicylic acid.

The freezing off method.

The swab with highly reactive allergic serum crap (oh THAT was a nightmare).

Now we are trying to inject them with some kind of yeast antigen.

Jennasis, That's right, just a small piece of cotton (the tip off of the q-tips works very well) I also used "organic raw apple cider vinegar with the mother." It was only a couple dollars more and stronger than the cheap stuff, but I've heard that Heinz has worked just fine for others. Just keep at it and I'm sure you'll see results! From the reviews I've read, it seems A LOT of people have gone down the same road as yourself and in the end, the bugger was still there! This is so cheap and easy to do.

I used this method a couple of years ago for a stubborn wart after reading about it here. I used Walmart brand apple cider vinegar and the wart turned black (which was supposed to happen according to the directions) and fell off within a few days. It wasn't painful at all and has never grown back.

The other thing that works is putting Vitamin A directly onto the wart.
This helps the body to actually to fight the wart virus and kill it.

Good to know. My kids get plantar warts occasionally and I will definately keep this in mind.

I haven't heard of the vitamin a treatment. There seems to be SO many out there and I'm sure many of them work. I used a banana peel for a few days, that seemed to help as well. I think it's the high potassium levels that kill the wart. Using just duct tape is suppose to work as well for some, though I think mine had been there WAY too long for this to work.

I will have to remember this tip...

I *just* was able to get of a planter wart that I had about three years. I tried just about everything multiple times: freezing, duct tape, caster oil, etc..

I never heard about the vinegar though...

What ended up working for me was finally breaking down and going to the doctor. She put a drop of Spanish Fly on it. I never heard of using THAT for warts before :confused3

But it worked!!!:cool1::worship: In less than a month that puppy was GONE!!
