I work, but do it from home, so I have a foot in both worlds.
I do miss the catered meeting and lunches but as I would have to drive to the office to get them- I voluntarily pass.

My kids are in school full time and I am off work by the time they get home but, I am doing the same things I did when I worked at the ofice full time.
There is very, very little that I do not do when I worked in the office or at home.
I still have laundry, shopping, meal preparation, sports, aniamls to the vet, blah, blah, blah that I have always had. The absence of the communte time I was spending is now more time for me to get those things done.
Everyone of us have the physical work at home: laundry, cleaning, yard work, house maintenance and some of us add a job to that as well.
OP- No one should be put down for whatever works for their family. It's all about choices.
