Hi Guys!

I don't know if my question has already been asked or answered in another post, but here it is.

My family is planning a trip to Universal in March 2018. I will be my kids (7 and 11), husband, my parents-in-law and myself. A total of 6 people.
We want to stay onsite and are planning on buying 2 or 3 day park to park tickets for each of us.
We wanted to stay at Cabana Bay originally in two rooms but are considering switching to one of the three resorts that offer Express Pass. It looks like it will be really busy the days we are planning on visiting.

My question is, if I purchase one APH for myself can I apply the discounts to the rest of the family? Also can I use my APH to get a discount on both rooms or does it apply only to one room? Is it even worth purchasing the APH? I know the discounts are not release yet for March but do you think they will release some as we get closer to the dates?

I tried to look online but I have trouble finding the information.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I would encourage you to go to the Universal Orlando website and compare all the options for AP's and find the one that best fits your needs. There are now 2 park or 3 park AP's since Volcano Bay opened.

There is also 4 options on top of that for passes. Seasonal AP, Power Pass, Perferred Pass and Premier Pass. The perks vary according to the Pass you get.

Make sure to look at blockout dates for the Seasonal AP and Power AP's.

Yes, you as the AP holder can get discounts on rooms and the purchase of multiway tickets at the gate for up to 6 people.

The rooms have to be in your name as the AP holder in order for you to get the AP discount.

You also get discounts on food and merchandise with your AP. These discounts add up nicely and are a great savings for a larger family.

I would recommend staying at one of the resorts that includes Unlimited Express, RPR, HRH, PBH. It's a great perk.

You can go ahead and lock in your room for the dates you wanted and then watch for AP discounts and call to get the cheaper price adjustment. They will do this for you.

If you have anymore questions come back and ask, someone will jump in and help you.

Have fun at Universal.

It looks like the 2 park Seasonal pass would be a good deal for us but only if they offered APH resort discounts for our travel dates but it doesn't cover food and merchandise in park. The preferred AP is maybe better option especially f I calculate the savings on our meals. With 6 people the tab can add up quickly.

I was also looking at those private VIP tours. That might be an option to see the most popular attractions without waiting in line all day.

So many options! :faint:

all the ap's offer the hotel room discounts.

not all offer the ap discount on food places or shopping

check the ap site to see which ap has the discounts you would be interested in.
