AP Vouchers and FP+ Question

Hope someone can help me here.

I have a Reservation for July for R/O with AP Dining. We currently have one day tickets that I planned on exchanging for APs when we got there.

Now from what I understand I have to have tickets to book FP+. Okay so
if I order APs now will I be able to book the FP+ at the 60 day mark?
Or, if I change the room to a package with 10 day tickets (to exchange for APs when we get there) will I still be able to get the AP discount on our room (fingers crossed that there IS one).

Seems so complicated!

My understanding is that AP vouchers have the numbers necessary to enter into MDE and allow 60-day FP+ prebooking.
