AP voucher question

My wife and I are surprising our kids and heading down after Christmas and thru new year's. We will be purchasing AP's and know we will receive the vouchers in the mail.

Can we use the vouchers to make our 60 day fast pass ressies? Do you know how long it takes Disney to actually get you the vouchers after they are ordered??

I want to make sure we have them a few days before our 60 day out mark but I don't want to put out the $2000++ too early..:.

Yes.

I don't know if you still actually receive paper vouchers. When you buy the APs they will give you a confirmation number. Enter the confirmation numbers into your MDX and you can make fastpasses at 60 days if you have a resort reservation.

Thanks, so they verbally give you the # over the phone that can be used to make the FP's??

They should.

Whether they send you vouchers or not, if you are purchasing them by phone, you will need to visit Guest Services or a ticket booth at WDW to activate your passes before you use them to enter a park.

If you buy on-line via your MyDisneyExperience account, the APs will automatically show up in the MDE account and FP+ can be booked.

Also, under ANY circumstances of buying a new AP, you will have to make the previously-discussed trip to any ticket booth or Guest Relations (with your legal photo ID) in order to activate the new AP.

One thing to consider - last year AP's had a price increase on October 4. It would be unlikely that Disney will allow a year to pass before another one.

Yes. If I was going in December, I would be buying now. In fact, my pass expires in December and I will likely not be going back until December 2017 (going to DL in July), I'm thinking of buying one now to hold. Typically there's a couple days of rumors before a price increase but last year they only started the night before.
