AP upgrade at park

We are looking to put in an offer for a DVC next week. And we have a trip planned for end of April. We plan on upgrading our Passes to annual passes when we get to the park. If we have our member info by then will we be able to upgrade them and get the DVC discount on the passes?

Yes but you have to have your member card and photo ID to upgrade with the discount-if you haven't received it in the mail by the time you leave you were previously able to go to certain DVC resorts to obtain one (BLT, BWV, SSR)-I'm assuming even with the new cards DVC is sending out they should be able to make you one on site as people lose or forget theirs as well.
