AP Sponsorship Question

Probably a simple question with a simple answer but.......

From reading the info on the back of the new sponshership form ( well using a translator via google anyway! )

It says you can only use this sponsorship from to get your extension a month before yours expires. As mine doensn't run out till September and this form runs out in April I can't use it Can I.

Am i correct here anyone who is clued up on this sponsorship stuff, my french isn't very good.

That's a good point, I'd need the answer to this too.

I think it MIGHT mean that you can't sponsor someone now and send it off straight away to get the extra time added, I THINK it means that you need to keep the form until a month before your AP expires and then send it off (in the hope that you may loose it in that time )

but what worries me is this new form is only valid until April. What would happen if the deal changed. would our form be invalid?

Anyone to help me and the Cap'n would be much appreciated, or else he'll plunder another cargo ship!

Hi,

The AP sponsorship deals have been the same since April 07 certainly, maybe even before that.

The actual version of the form does seem to change every 6 months or so, and to be sure that your form will be accepted when its time to extend your AP (you are correct, you can't do this until one month before its due to expire), you should try to ensure that you get your 3 sponsor stamps on one sponsor form. So, if you're going to start sponsoring now, try to get all 3 done and dusted before April. You can then keep that form (very safe ) until you can send it off, or take it with you to DLRP, within 30 days of your AP expiring, to extend it for free for another 12 months.
