AP site frustration - can't log in anymore!

Hi, I was able to access the AP site with my non-activated voucher since July, with no problem. Now that my pass has been activated, I can no longer log in. And Disney went and changed the log in page (reminds me of the ebay web site, if it ain't broke, break it anyway OR if it's broke, break it some more).

Not sure if this is the problem, but when logging in, they ask for a series of numbers. Everything goes ok until the last series of numbers. According to WDW, at the very end, I should have a set of numbers that goes like this
#-####. Sheesh, all I have is a 3 digit number. Where the heck do they find a 5 digit number on the AP? :confused3

To log on, I enter my name, check off "Annual Pass" and enter my numbers
WST followed by a 3 digit number, followed by the month day year and then I have a 3 digit number left, not a five digit number. Why does a simple thing like logging on have to be such a big ordeal? Any help appreciated! :crazy2:

Anyone else have trouble with this since they switched their log in page? Do I need to change any settings that were ok before?

Thanks so much,
Tink

The notation: #-##### means that annual passes will have numbers in that position that vary from a single digit up to 5 digits. My pass has a single digit in this position, so I just enter that single digit in the last box on the login form. You said your pass ends with a 3-digit number, so just enter those three digits into that box and you should be all set.

Hope that works for you!

Edited to add: I just went to the passholders' website and was able to log in so the site is working as of 1:14pm eastern time. Good luck!

Thanks so much for the reply. It's still not working. I type in everything exactly as it appears on my card and still nothing. When I press submit, the log in page appears again. :confused3

Is there any sort of error message displayed on the page when the login page comes up again?

I was told the last box was the last 2 digits of that # try that hope it helps.

Thanks for all the replies. I tried all the suggestions. All the numbers backwards forwards, you name it. I even tried netscape instead of IE, still no luck. Then I noticed they misspelled my first name on the annual pass. I didn't notice this the entire time I was at WDW last week. They left out an A .. so I tried the misspelled version. Still no luck.

Each time I try to log in and submit, the log in page appears again with this message:

"Sorry, we are currently unable to process your request. Please check and re-enter your Passholder ID, or try again later"

This is ridiculous.

When I look at the site, they give you 3 options of passes. Since mine is activated, I am using the first choice, the Annual Pass.
My sequence of numbers on the bottom of the pass are like this:
Tr 123 WST:456 month day year(05, not 2005) 789

Thanks again, I guess I have to call them. Their site really is one of the worst sites I have ever tried to maneuver.

***Edited to add that I called Disney. She walked me through the process. I was doing everything correctly. She was able to log onto my name with no problem. I am still not able to log on. She told me to disable cookies. Not sure how to do that and don't know with McGaffee and Zone Alarm if that will work. All I know is I was able to get on just fine last month and now, since they changed the log in page, nothing. So since Disney can't figure out why I can't log on, I guess I will never be able to access the site. Very frustrating.*********

Try deactivating your zone alarm. That works for me on certain sites. Then reactivate it when you finish with the passholder site.

We have a tool bar at the bottom right of our screen where you can right click and select to deactivate the zone alarm.

Hope that helps!

I have McAffee AOl security on my desktop and cannot get into the AP site all the way, I keep getting back to the logon screen. I installed Mozilla Firefox web browser on my laptop, and that is the only way I can get into the AP site and make BRP reservations. I have 3 reservations already made, and I am entering the data correctly, its just the darn security on my desktop.

Hi, thanks for your help. I deactivated Zone Alarm. I still can't log on to the AP site. :badpc:

Contemplating trying the mozilla browser.

*Edited to add that I installed Mozilla. Still can't log in.* :(

I allowed cookies. Still can't log in. I am beating my head against the wall. Why should any site be so difficult to log in to? I don't have this problem on any other site!

Did you try clearing your internet history also? Sometimes that works for me.

We use pop up blocker and I had to tell it that the Disney site was acceptable for pop ups to get it to work as well.

Hi, thanks, yes I did clean out my internet history. I used Easy Cleaner. I used to have a nice program called ad muncher, but I had uninstalled that a few weeks ago, so it's not a pop up problem from what I can tell.

I tinkered with cookie settings. I have done everything I can think of.

I guess I am wondering if I am supposed to make my computer more secure or less secure in order to successfully log into this AP site. *edited to add that I did what the site said, I enabled cookies and set my browser settings to low - still no luck*

I still do not understand why I can log into all other sites in the universe with no problems, except this AP site. And why it was fine from July up until a few weeks ago and then since I got my pass renewed, it will not work.

Please, if anyone out there can come up with any other suggestions, I'd sure appreciate it.

Thanks, Tink

Have you tried logging in the old way, using your voucher numbers? It would be interesting to know if that still works as a way to get into the site.

Yes, hee hee, I have, several times. No luck. :confused3

I am going to try to see if I can use someone elses computer later this evening. If I am able to log in there, then it has to be my settings, not an error of some sort with my name or number.

Thanks, Tink

Did you change anything on your PC since the last time you successfully logged in using your voucher number? Did you install any new software?

Hi, No I have not installed anything new on my computer since the last time I was able to log on with my voucher number. I don't remember changing anything either, but not positive. It's baffling.

********Edited to add that I still cannot log in to the AP site on my computer, but I WAS able to log in to the AP site using someone else computer. So now I know it is my computer with the problems (and disney for having such a lame site). Now to figure out what can be done.************* :headache:

Thanks, Tink

Hell hath no fury like a woman who can't log in to her AP rates

I have the same problem. I've been logging in succesfully with my AP since May, all of a sudden a few weeks ago I can't get in using my AP or DH's. It's very frustrating

Sorry this is happening to you too. I had emailed and called Disney. Their responses provided no help. I have made sure I have the latest of the three browsers, I have accepted cookies, lowered privacy and security, I have flash, shock, adobe, and everything they say is required to use their site.. I have everything I had when I was able to sign in some weeks ago. They are the ones who changed the log in page. I have jumped through all the hoops Disney claims will get me logged on to their site, with no success. I can usually figure out solutions to my computer problems after searching for help on other web sites, etc., but have reached a brick wall. :(

I am sure this won't help, lol, but with my last AP I used the numbers that appeared after the "TR" but with my new AP (activated in October) I find it only works if I use the numbers that appear after the date--for me, there are two numbers there. (there is a large space inbetween the date and these numbers)

Hi, Thanks for the tip. I appreciate any and all comments about this problem. I had tried all the combos of numbers. They sure don't make things easy for you. The cm on the phone walked me through logging in, and like you said, we are not using the numbers that appeared after the "TR" anymore. She showed me I was logging in correctly and she was able to log in under my name, but I wasn't.

I know since I was able to log on using someone elses computer, that is must be some setting on my computer that is not compatible with Disney's AP site log-in and that might be what is preventing me from logging on. I just do not understand why theirs is the only site this is happening with. I can log in to paypal, ebay, and any other site in the universe, except Disney passholders. What gives?

I have emailed them 4 times and have called once. I am still waiting for responses from 2 of the emails. The last one just said the same thing that the person on the phone said, to adjust your cookie/privacy settings. Why is Disney passholders the only site that I have a problem with?

Sorry for going on and on. This is just so senseless.

Thanks,
Tink
