Couple questions I was hoping someone could help with...

To get an AP rate do all people staying in the room need to be AP holders or just the person making the reservation?

Are there any AP rates typically available for Fort Wilderness Cabins? If so - what percentage?

Thanks! :D

No, only one person in the party needs to have an AP in order to get the AP rate for the party.

Typically, there are AP rates on the Cabins. The % is good, but it eludes me at the moment.

You'll love the cabins! Have fun!

I think I paid around $160/night with tax for a FW Cabin last November.

The cabins sound really good!

We will have two couples and one 2yr old - it will save us a fortune if we can eat some meals in the cabin (even if its just breakfast!)

Very cool!

CynJ, I posted some pictures of the FW Cabins on the photo site. You can get a pretty good idea of what they look like. The couple with the two year old can sleep in the bedroom, and the other couple can sleep on the pulldown Murphy bed in the living room. I had some concerns over what the living room would look like with the Murphy bed, but they have it cleverly disguised with a nice picture on that wall. It certainly will save both coules a good deal of money as opposed to renting two rooms, plus as you said, you have the full kitchen. The campground is also very pretty.

The cabins are so great that even without an AP rate I would stay there (& have).

You're right, the amount of money you will save on food is the best part.

We all love FW. It's Disney best kept secret. ;)

Mousasavers.com is currently listing some codes for the cabins for $169 a night. Also, Deb Wills' WDWIG site has great cabin photos. Click on "resorts" then go to "FW Cabins." From here you will be able to click on "Jeff's FW Cabin photos." You can see in the pics how neat the cabins are. We love FW!

I agree even without AP rates you'll love it and save money in the long run.In the past we were always lucky with codes once better then the AP rate. The best I got was Value Season at $157. including tax.
Good luck and enjoy FW

CynJ, the photo site here on the DIS. You can get to it from the home page. Click on photos, then click on submit your photos, then click on the Magic Kingdom Resort Area, then Fort Wilderness.
