Our passes expire in July and I'm trying to decide if we should renew them or not...

My DD has a child's AP now and she will still be 9 when it expires. Can I renew her at the child rate and will she need a different ticket after she turns 10?

How do y'all decide to renew or just to rebuy later? I'm not sure when our next trip will be after our June trip. :confused3

We were also thinking about renewing in May, but decided not to do so. We didn't know when we could go back either, and we saw that we would only be saving $40 a pass, so we decided just to wait until we plan another trip. However, we don't have kids who are about to turn 10. Your DD should be able to buy a child's pass and use it for the entire year. Only when the kiddo is 10 at the time of purchase (activation) will they have to buy an adult pass. So now you have that to consider when determining whether to renew. I believe that she has to be 9 when the passes are activated, which usually means your first trip, but with renewal passes, I believe they become active automatically on the day after your current pass expires. Thus the reason why they give you a discount in the first place.

She doesn't turn 10 till the end of July; our passes expire at the beginning.
We're looking at a difference of $212 if we renew in July (with her's as a child's). I guess I just need to figure out how soon we'd be back. :sunny:

Wow, that's a big savings. If there's a pretty good chance you'll be back before next July, and you have the money, I would definitely do it! ::yes::
