AP Renewal Question

We've always renewed our APs before the expiration date but this time I'm not going to do it until after since I have 30 days from the expiration date. The card I got in the mail says that the discounted price ($76 off is what the card says) is only in place if you renew BY the expiration date. I was always under the impression that you could get the discounted price even during those 30 days after expiration, was I wrong?

TIA

You can renew an AP up to 60 days BEFORE and up to 30 days AFTER the anniversary date and get the renewal discount.

Discount applies for 30 days past expiration date.

As others have said, discount is valid 60 days before to 30 days after the expiration. Just to be clear, your expiration date will remain the same no matter when you renew in this time frame.

Just a note, as long as we're discussing possibilities...

IF you will not be returning to WDW for several months following the end-date of your current AP, it can be better savings to NOT "renew" the AP at all, but, instead, just buy a NEW AP (voucher) before your next WDW trip and THEN, that new AP would be good for those extra months following your next trip.

As always... do the math and check for the better value.

Thank you all for the responses. I was already aware that the expiration date doesn't change :-)

We're FL residents so we pay monthly and I've never renewed past the expiration date so I wasn't clear on how it worked.

Robo, we always renew even if we don't have anything planned because we sometimes take off on a weekend unplanned when my husband's schedule opens up. They're random but happen more often now since I'm off in the summer (I'm a teacher).

Thanks again everyone!
