AP Rates?????

Is CRO ever going to post AP rates past 8/23??? It's been sitting there for some time now and when I called the CM stated that they did not know when it would be extended. I booked my ressie with a AAA rate (since something is better than nothing).

I think it's great they extended the FTP, but as an AP holder, it does not do me much good.

Should I take a guess that since they extended the FTP to the week before Thanksgiving, that there are not going to be any discount codes for that time either?

Sorry. but just a little frustrated. Any other passholders feeling this way or is it just me?

It's a tough call. Disney knows that people with AP's will come back anyway so the urgency in offering AP room rates isn't there. Couple that with the wild success of the FTP promotion, the already high occupancy rates for the coming months at all the moderates and the AllStars and I don't think you are going to find a whole lot of rooms available for an AP rate. Some perhaps, but not a whole lot.

We bought our first set of APs because of the room discount available. And it really paid off for Disney - we ended up going back 11 months later, splurging on WL, when a second trip hadn't been in the plans at all.

Last year AP rates for 10/3 to 12/19 did not come out until July 28th, so it maybe awhile yet. They don't seem to want to release them too far in advance, they want to gauge how many empty rooms they have closer to the date.

There were a lot of people who thought that there would be no AP rates for after July 4 once the FTP was released. Surprisingly, AP rates came out the day FTP was released to the general public.
IMHO, I think they will release codes for after 8/23 soon after June 29th (when FTP ends). I think the moderates will still have limited availability, but that has as much to do with POFQ and sections of POR being closed, as it does FTP.

Also, back in April, AP rates for after 4/28 were released on 4/21. So we just gotta try to be patient (not one of my virtues, that's for sure ) and hopefully they'll come out in July

I'm watching for them also for the last three nights of our trip 8/23 - 8/26, hoping to save a little more money

Thanks for listening and for the advice. I was able to grab a discounted rate from Southwest for my flight, so that was good (got promotional fare).

I guess I'm just so excited about my trip that I'm getting a little antsy.

I called yesterday to ask about rates for September (got $127 airfare from Houston!!!!). When the CM saw that we had annual passes, she transfered me to someone else to help me - INTERESTING.

He said that there would likely be AP rates for that time, but that there would be more limited availability due to FTP.

Do you think they transfered me from WDTC to CRO since they figured they couldn't upsell me to a package due to my APs?

This is the very same question I have had on my mind all week. I had needed a date after the 23rd and the CM told me to reserve the 23rd on and pay for extra days to get the rate.NOT.......I do not work for the Bank of Disney nor do I intend to inherit any stock LOL. I would appreciate any info anyone comes into as well. Our AP's expire in September.

I sure hope they come out for October soon. We won't even book until discounts come out, and if they don't come out, guess Disney will loose our business.....

I'm thinking of adding an extra trip for the first MNSSHP on Oct 3. Thinking of arriving Oct 1 to take advantage of the last day of value season. It all depends on getting a decent AP or code rate, so I'm waiting.

My prediction is the week of July 19-26. Why, you may ask. Because that is when I will be in Disney and not have computer access. Stuff like that always happens when I plan something. If they don't come out before then, I will be calling everyday from our resort for our December trip.

I booked my room under a AAA rate (anything is better than nothing) and am hoping for either a code or an AP rate to drop it a little more.

I'm guessing from what the person said, you must have gotten the travel company, rather than CRO.

I don't know how much longer I can stand the wait.
I hate going anywhere becuase I am so afraiding of missing them.. anyone else in same boat?

LOL, Puffkin! Dont worry, Im convinced December discounts will come out the wek of Aug 24 when Im in WDW, as will the CP package, and DCL 05 booking dates...all things Im waiting for.

Good luck to all waiting for the discounts! Hey, at least Disney keeps us on our toes.

I was in the same boat in April. We were going down April 28th and the codes did not get posted until April 21st. Just be patient.
