While this may not be the case for everyone, I just booked CBR for 8 nights in October for $880 (including tax) and was told that the AP rate would be for $790! hope this helps!

Thanks, TigerLaw! I'm still crossing my fingers for an AP rate at AsMo, since it's not included in the latest codes. Or, maybe I'll find a great AP rate at POR or CBR!

TigerLaw,

That's interesting information. Did you get it from a CM? I'm wondering if we'll get even better rates at YC...

Thanks-

How did you get the new AP rates? Did the CM tell you this new price today? I just called and was told they didn't even have the new AP rates in the system yet and they had no idea. Thanks!

dumb luck I guess. After the CM quoted the new discount rate, I asked if the AP would be any better. She then told me what the AP rate would be, and then said I couldn't get it until next week.

Hmmmmm . . .you mean to say that AP rates are going to beat 40% off?

If they do . . .hmmmmmmm that would be WONDERFUL! Unfortunately we'll have to wait a week to find out . . .

Like B3LM I am hoping for AP disc. for ASMo, though I am not going to hold my breath...

Just called and the CM told me that the new AP rates are not out yet and was not sure when OR if they were coming out. I hope they do. I was able to lock in the discount code rate, but if I can get a better deal with an AP rate, that would be even better. If anyone hears when the AP rates do open up, please give a shout.

Well, I called back and checked on AsMo. Unfortunately, AsMo is not included in the AP discounts this time. She couldn't tell me what the discount would be for AsMu or AsSp. She said she just had a base rate for the Poly. I'll be checking back, though!!!

TigerLaw did you book a waterview room at CBR?? I just booked CBR for November with the current code and it came out to about 94.00 a night including tax. Yours comes out to about 110.00 including tax.

My CBR & POR rates from 11/29 - 12/7 are about $110 w/ tax too. lvs_eeyore, when in Nov were the $94 w/ tax rates? Maybe I can call back <b>again</b>, I cringe when they pull my records up. :)

I think that there are some times that the discount isn't as great as 40%. We are going in oct over the Columbus weekend and I am happy with the discount but there is none available for the one night I wanted at the AS. We are flying in at 10:30 PM and if we are on time I think any bed will do so we are not checking in to the Poly until the next day.

Izarelli - we are going about the same dates - November 30 - Dec. 10th. My DU agent emailed me today and told me the new rate was $94 (and some odd cents) per night and that included tax. The $110 rate with tax was about where my AAA or DC cost was before we switched the ressie to the new code. Might want to check again.

And, I wouldn't be afraid to again. After all...if it weren't for individuals like yourself calling...they wouldn't have a job!! So call away and get the best rate possible.

Someone posted that AP rates will be out on Sunday and some CMs are saying they will beat the newly posted codes. I'm waiting to see though. I haven't seen POFQ lower than $84 a night for many years.....but I'm crossing my fingers.

Could someone please tell this newbie what are AP rates and how do you get them? Thanks!!

With the new codes out today we got CBR for $94.35 a night including taxs. Our dates are Nov 23 to Dec 3rd. Hope this helps you.

AP means Annual Passholder. They are at different times offered special discounts. The person who makes the ressie must be the Annual Passholder, however, you do not need to actually purchase the AP until at Disney prior to checkin. Or you can purchase a voucher prior to the trip that you can activate into the AP upon arrival at WDW. The pass is good for one year from activation date. I think that about covers it.

Annual Pass rates, you must purchase the AP to get that discount. Sometimes when you are palnning a long stay it is beneficial for you to purchase this type of ticket for the cost is lower than the UPH.

AP stands for annual pass.

If you buy an annual pass to the parks at WDW you get a newsletter each quarter and are eligible for disounts. One of those discounts is for the properties at WDW. The AP rates are released much later than most codes.
