AP rates timeframe question

I know that AP rates have come out through 12/26, but I was wondering if it's possible to book at the AP rates for dates after the 26th as long as you check-in on or before the 26th? Our trip isn't planned until the 29th, but I'd tack on a few extra days to check in on the 26th if it meant we'd get the AP rate. Does any of this make sense??? I didn't think that it was possible, but noticed on some other posts that people have gotten the AP rate through the end of December. Am I missing something?

I'm sorry if this has already been asked and answered, I'm at work and can't read all the posts and would like to call before everything's sold out...

Sorry this didn't get answered sooner and hope that perhaps you decided to call CRO and find out for yourself. Disney's policy for their resort rooms is that whatever the rate on check in day, that is the daily rate for each day of your stay ----- even if the stay moves into a more expensive 'season'. Many people change their dates and check in sooner, just to be able to take advantage of this policy. So, call quickly, and good luck!


(This works out to be a negative situation when reversed --- you check in during expensive season and your stay moves into a cheaper season, but you're still paying the more expensive rate. In this case, book 2 separate reservations --- expensive rate, and the start of the less expensive rate --- and have the reservations linked together so you probably won't have to switch rooms.)

Thank you so much for your reply. I didn't realize that AP rates fell under this rule, but I did call today on my lunch break just on the off chance...

Well, I'm THRILLED to say that I got the WL for $139/night for my dates through January 12th!!!

That's fantastic!!!!!!! WL is one of our favorites, and the holiday decorations are wonderful. Hope you have a great trip!
