AP Rates October to December 2011

Anybody finding there is not a lot of availablility. I could only get the BWV studio for our dates in Oct. The beach club disappeared while I was on hold. I was also trying to book a short 4 night stay in Dec, but not really finding anything that I like the first 2 weeks of Dec. I don't remember Having a problem booking a room in the spring and I waited until 3 weeks after discounts were released. I wonder if they are discounting less rooms.

Yes. There's nothing for my dates at AKL Jambo House. So for the same price I moved to a 1 BR at Kidani. But I'll keep checking!

We are buying an AP since we are going in October and Feb. So...our price on Pop went from 693 to 536 :cool1:

That 693 was with an AAA discount, too! So we are saving a good chunk of money!

Now - since we will have AP's....and there is free dining offered for our dates in Feb. I know you have to have at least a 2 day ticket, right, for the Dining Plan? So either we will have to do AP's or the DDP...not both since that would be a waste of money to get 4 2 day passes (for our family)...looking at about $800 right there, correct?

So confused!!

:wizard:I got hit with pixie dust yesterday. I got the 30% off room rate for our CSR stay during Jersey week. I hope things open up for all of you needing the AP rates for your stay.

No, for the last several years the room rate fluctuates depending on what day of the week it is and what season each day falls under. I know last Sept/Oct we had several different rates that week (weekend, value season, regular season, then weekend rates again). I got the AP rate for the entire nine days, but got charged a different amount for different nights. I think too many people were checking in on the last day of value season just to get the cheaper rate throughout their trip, so Disney went to a nightly rate. I know several years ago because of how the AP dates fell, I had six nights on the AP rate followed by two nights at rack rate. The year before I would have been able to get the entire trip at the AP rate.

Unlike the room rates, the DDP you will get for the entire trip, as long as you check in by the last day of the promotion.

Only one adult AP is needed to get the AP room rate (also a fairly recent change as people used to be able to use a child's AP to get an AP room discount). Everyone else can either buy their tickets ahead of time through a broker or Disney (site or store) or buy them at check in from guest services. You can not add their tickets to the AP pkg however, or the AP holder would then also have to buy a matching ticket. With that one AP you can make the ressie a ticketless AP pkg and add the DDP for everyone in the room or leave it as a room only. If you add the DDP it then becomes a ticketless pkg and is subject to all the pkg rules ($200.00 deposit, balance due by 45 days out, and you may incur penalties if you make changes to the reservation within that 45 day period).

So if we were going this Dec. From the 14th to 28th we would get 40% off the advertised room rate for each of those nights? So if I take the rack rate total online for the 14 nights and take off 40% that total would be accurate? As long as we check-in before The 24th we get 40%? Thanks for your help!

No. The deal is good only until the 24th. You would get 40% off (assuming availability) for the nights of Dec. 14 - Dec. 24. You would not get the 40% for the 25th, 26th, 27th or 28th. Each night is calculated separately and the discount applies only to the dates within the offer.

The only thing that continues after the end date of a discount is free dining, since it's tied to length of stay.

Ok, thanks for the clarification.

I would also be aware that not all the resorts give the full 40% each night of the week. When I was playing around on the passholder site I noticed several of the resort were still sky high on the weekend, but some applied the discount to the weeked rates...so you really need to look at each one individually...

I'm so disappointed! We've have CL at the Poly booked for the 2nd week in Nov and there is no AP rate for that room that week. :( In fact, there's hardly any CL rooms available. WTH?! Even the villas seem skimpy.

I was able to book BWI CL 11/10 to 11/15 with AP discount yesterday.

Yay for AP rates being released! Got FQ for Dec for a great rate and we were able to add one night for our Oct trip in a 1 bdr at BCV...our points only go so far!

I think these AP rates were almost just as good as the Bounceback rates!

My parents have a seasonal florida pass. Does this also qualify for the AP discount? We are staying in CSR Dec 11-16 and this would be great for them.

Thanks

I am so frustrated trying to plan our trip using the AP discount. Last night I was playing around for hours, not getting anything decent.

This morning I log in, get an amazing package (one I tried last night but wasn't available). I tried to save it instead of buy but it didn't let me. So, I let it go for 30 seconds, try and come back to it by reentering all the info and it's saying it's not available again. WTH?! It did this yesterday too!

I guess at least you got it to show up! It gives me hope. I will keep trying my dates on the site. I guess the key would be to book it online right when it shows up....?

We are doing a split stay for early December.
I had originally booked the first part at Pop Century for 12/2 to 12/5 with a bounceback for 2 nights and RACK for the last night, total $299.25.
Today I changed from Pop to Caribbean Beach standard for $403.21 for all three nights at the Passholder Rate. We leave on 12/5 to visit family, then return on 12/7 for 6 nights at OKW.
The first part was supposed to be value, but I caved in when I saw a mod room online at standard rates. We have an after hours party at the Studios on Sat 12/3 so I thought either Pop or CB would be the place to stay.
