No, for the last several years the room rate fluctuates depending on what day of the week it is and what season each day falls under. I know last Sept/Oct we had several different rates that week (weekend, value season, regular season, then weekend rates again). I got the AP rate for the entire nine days, but got charged a different amount for different nights. I think too many people were checking in on the last day of value season just to get the cheaper rate throughout their trip, so Disney went to a nightly rate. I know several years ago because of how the AP dates fell, I had six nights on the AP rate followed by two nights at rack rate. The year before I would have been able to get the entire trip at the AP rate.
Unlike the room rates, the
DDP you will get for the entire trip, as long as you check in by the last day of the promotion.
Only one
adult AP is needed to get the AP room rate (also a fairly recent change as people used to be able to use a child's AP to get an AP room discount). Everyone else can either buy their tickets ahead of time through a broker or Disney (site or store) or buy them at check in from guest services. You can not add their tickets to the AP pkg however, or the AP holder would then also have to buy a matching ticket. With that one AP you can make the ressie a ticketless AP pkg and add the DDP for everyone in the room or leave it as a room only. If you add the DDP it then becomes a ticketless pkg and is subject to all the pkg rules ($200.00 deposit, balance due by 45 days out, and you may incur penalties if you make changes to the reservation within that 45 day period).
