AP Rates for August!

I got my AAA rate $1022 down to $820 AP rate! 7 nights at POR. That sounds pretty good to me! This is also the first time I'm using an AP so any discount is exciting! I have nothing to compare it to! :)

The rates I found are WL $185 and AKL $210. These were on Disney's Passholder page.

I got an Email about this from passholders. There is limited availabilty. I was curious what POFQ August 16/20 would cost. Not available, only CS which was $125 plus tax per night or $557 for 4 nights!

I just saved almost $85 per night for our Fort Wilderness Cabin stay starting on Aug 18th!! WOOHOO!!!!!

Rate dropped from $266 Total per day to $183.

From Mousesavers:

Travel dates: 8/6/06-8/26/06. Discounts are $25 per night off Value resorts, $50 per night off Moderate resorts and $75 per night off Deluxe and DVC resorts. Book by 8/26/06. Use code EZY.

Tried for a code at FW, but according to the CM, the rate is actually higher than the AAA rate I already have, which is $39/night. Anyone else confirm this? Last year the passholder rate was $2 cheaper than AAA.

Just booked AKL savannah for $210 plus tax, Aug 16-19. (Then we go to BCV for our first ever visit home!)

For anyone else confused, it is not $75 across the board at all deluxe resorts. It is $75 off at select deluxe resorts. Their seems to be very limited availability at certain locations.

Good luck sorting it out. :thumbsup2

I've been out all day at my DS18's college orientation and just got home (4pm eastern time) and saw the email telling me about the AP discount (Yay, my first official Annual Passholders email! LOL).

I already had a garden view room at the Polynesian booked with the AAA discount, so I wasn't sure how much, if any, the AP discount would save me.

I'm not sure what the total AP discount would be before the AAA discount, and also we have the additional charge for the 3rd adult in the room (now that DS is 18...). But I do know that previously the charge per night was $326, and now it's $295, which is a savings of $31/night on top of the AAA discount.

EDITED TO ADD INFO:

I just checked on the Disney web site, and a garden view room at the Polynesian for 3 adults and 1 15 yr old comes out to $379. So, the AP discount will be saving us $84 per night, off the regular rate. :)

Yikes! Standard View Wilderness Lodge for $130/nt plus tax. Standard View Moderates for $105/nt plus tax. What are you waiting for! Go get 'em! :cheer2:

Oh well I guess July ap rates for the mods is now a done deal. That really stinks. I know they offered them for the okw and such but I really wasnt interest in them. I like the mods much better believe it or not. Just feels more disney to me. I dont get these ap rates this year. And before somebody starts I KNOW they are not a guarantee and should not be counted on but when we receive them year after year always around the same time and for some resorts you kinda get used to them. I'm surprised that they are including mods in the august offer when august is already getting the free dining and they leave us in July out in the cold for any mods. Oh well....good by ap's....not worth it to me anymore.

Just booked Wilderness Lodge for 8/7-8/10. I've never stayed there, but that's a great deal.

Did you get it for 145 a night with the tax included? If so that's a great deal in my opinion.

Jumped on the band wagon :thumbsup2

:wizard: Trip changed again. Now we are at BC for 4 days ($189.00 rate), aug 2>5th & Poly 6th > 20th! (240/nite +tax= 267.60/nite)[did break into 4 nites + 10 nites]. :wizard:

Good luck to everyone! Our cm said no only out till aug 5th, I told him 3 times to check, Please. It is on the wdw website! He said, He didn't read the memo! But was very nice! Am extremely happy (after a terrible day at work). :cloud9:

Thanks everyone for checking & posting! mky princess:

I booked for one night before our pkg and std wl. i tried to add ap rate instead of aaa rate. they said no wl at all left for that date. I tried bc std it had ap rate 230 plus tax. I'm not sure if I should switch to BC at 230 plus or stick to Wl at 194 aaa rate inc tax. Do you think I should keep trying to see if an ap opens up?

Not much, but every little bit helps
8/23-8/27 @ Pop - AAA rate w/tax $375 vs. AP rate w/tax $330

Very, very nice CM named Royce. However he couldn't understand why I did not want to change my 2 existing (continuing) AAA ressies (8/23-8/27 & 8/27-8/31) to one AP ressie. 8/27 begins value season; so the AAA rate is a percentage off a lesser rack rate. Why would I want to pay $660, when I can pay $611? I went over it 3 times with him. Finally I just told him to modify the 8/23 ressie, and leave the 8/27 alone. He agreed and suggested I keep my eyes peeled for any info regarding AP rates past 8/26. I wanted to laugh...I pretty much check these boards religiously...like 3 and 4 times a day. DUH!!! He was SO, SO, nice though.

Hi--
We're heading down to Disney the 1st wk of August ~7/30- ~8/5 (still deciding on exact dates based on airfares and hotel availablity). Since we're also planning a trip in Dec, we're thinking of getting APs. What's the best way to find out about the AP discount availability during that week? I can't get on the website--do I just call on the phone? Can someone give me a link to the best phone number to use/hours it's open? We'd love to stay at a deluxe for a change!
Also--think there will be a WL discount for Dec?
Thx for the help! :)

Do the AP rates apply to the free dining packages? I haven't renewed my AP yet but was thinking about it. The free dining packages are such a good deal so I wouldn't pick one over the other but I am curious.
