AP rates and dining?

Is there any way I can get an AP and still get the dining plan for my stay, while the others in my party are on MYW with dining??

No, you cannot get the AP discount and the dining plan. You must reserve a room at rack rate and have a park ticket of at least one day for everyone on the reservation. AAA will give you a small discount on a package if you book it with them.

I'm seriously considering getting AAA for the discount. I'm just afraid that as soon as I do, Disney will release a code!

If you are planning on getting an AP, you might want to think about getting the DDE card. I saved a ton of money using it last year and will be renewing it for our trip next year. I have a trip planned in Oct and I have figured it out costwise using the DDP and the DDE card. I come out about the same both ways, based on how we would eat. But, the DDE is only an option if you have an AP.
