AP rate ?

If there is a 40% off code that comes out for AP holders.. can I buy one person in our party an AP rate. Then book the AP rate with our current room booked for Jan?

With these codes can I normally not buy a DDP? I'm kind of new to all of this. We have crusied Disney but this will be my family first time doing the disney parks as a family. Thanks. Tiffany

Haven't heard of many 40% discounts for AP holders. I've had an AP for about 4 years now, and I've never gotten one. I have gotten some pretty good discounts just not 40%. And you can not get the DDP if you don't book a package. If you book with an AP discount you can't get the dining. But, if you have an AP you can buy, for about $65, the Disney Dining Experience card. This is good for a year and will save you 20% on most of your table service meals.

I am also an AP holder. THis year, we purchased the DDE card. Wow, were we impressed! Basically, you are saving the 20% tip you would be giving to the servers. The servers knew exactly what it was and properly applied it to every meal. It is good on alcoholic beverages as well as your meal. If you are staying on site and will be dining at almost any of the disney resteraunts, then I highly suggest you look into purchasing this card.

AP rates are no longer a percentage off of rack rate. They are offering a dollar amount off rack rate now. sometimes $100 or $80 depending on the season.
