I called this morning to check on it and was able to get three rooms at POR for my timeframe. July 3 through July 8.
Total cost was $496 for waterview. (Per room)
I requested Alligator Bayou, don't really know why. Just like the sound of it.

Does that price sound good?
Should I just cancel the waterview (after reading other threads that say there really is no water view)?

What is a good building # to call and request?

We were supposed to be staying at SOG, but I really am not very psyched about it. The whole resort reminds me of billeting on every base we have ever been on. But I quess I am holding on to those ressies until we have more info on finished construction.

Looks like you're paying about $99.20 a night? For waterview that doesn't sound bad. Was that with a AP code? If not you may want to call back and see if they have anything with the code left -- although it sounds like you may have gotten the discount as that's not really a bad rate for waterview.

If you're requesting AB and want to be close to the main bldng. (food court & bus stops, etc.) I've heard bldng.14 is one of the closest. It's been a while since I've been to POR-R -- going back in Oct. though;)

I wouldn't cancel your waterview though unless you know you can get standard view for significantly less in comparison.

Best of luck!
