I'm considering buying a Dream annual pass when I go in December, if I can talk the other half into it.
Can you get a discount in all shops and restaurants or is it limited to certain shops?
W're supposed to be saving for a wedding and honeymoon to Disneyland Florida in 2010, but if I get an annual pass it will make sure we get a Disney fix for cheaper than normal in 2009 doesn't it.

I'm just trying to work out the Pro's & Con's and discounts are one of them!

Once they're worked out then I can work on him. :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

Its almost all shops (apart from the bookstore on Main St?) - 20% discount, including already reduced and sale items.

All counter-service and table-service restaurants in both parks, all resort hotel restaurants, and most restaurants in the Village - 10% discount on your bill.

Free luggage storage in the Park for up to 3 items per Dream AP.

Usually the better discounts for room only prices at onsite hotels too. Plus EMH entrance for each Dream AP holder, if staying offsite.

DLRPMagic has a full list of the benefits of each AP :goodvibes

I've bought colouring books and crayons in there for my niece and got 20% off but only got 10% on CDs. I'm not sure what it is on books because I've never bought any there.

The discount is supposed to be only 10% on some of the limited edition collectables and jewellery but I've never not had a discount, and usually it's been 20%! :ssst:

I bought books in the Animation shop and did not get any discount :sad1:

Perhaps they don't give any discount on books.

Whenever we've bought CDs they've always split our purchases into two lots to apply the different discounts. We did buy a DVD one year but can't remember how much discount we got on that.

we bought our passes back in september. I got a dream and Jess got a fantasty. The savings alone paid for things. We didnt buy any CD's there just lots of other things and always got 20%. the free drink in the table restaurants was a nice touch too.

it seems the hotel prices are the big discount though. I was looking at a short trip just before xmas for 2 nights so we can see disney at christmas. priced it at £320 odd online for the cheyenne. lady on the phone quoted me £135 for a annual pass member. now THATS a discount

I love our AP. They are worth it if you go back more than once. There are 6 of us so we got our Dream passes for 143 Euro each instead of the 179 Euro (20% discount on the price of AP if more than 5 in the family) The shopping alone (20%) saves lots of money and the 10% in restaurants does help a bit. Also if you stay off-site you still get the EMH benefits and we got 50% off our Halloween Party tickets for the 31st.

In addition the Dream passes have no blackout days for visiting the parks so you can go anytime you wnat and not have to worry about those days not being open.

We got a 10% discount on Ellie's 20 Anniversary CD and 10% on her Limited Edition Halloween pin however we got 20% off of everything else.
