We may be able to squeeze a trip to DW in around Oct. I'd like to get an AP as we are planning a grandchildren trip in June, but if I order my AP how long does it take to come? Will I be able to link it in time? I know we will be well within 30 days, but might only be a couple weeks. Also the AP has free parking, if we haven't used it yet how do we get the parking? Sorry for all the questions. As many times as we have been to DW never had AP

If you buy the AP online from Disney they will be put into your MDE and waiting there for you to be able to do FP+ at 30 days out (60 if you're staying onsite and your resort reservation is in your MDE too).

AP's now get to order Magic Bands...so once your tickets are in your MDE you should get an mail telling you to order your MB. Pick your color and the name/nickname you want. They have a date that they'll ship them, but I found that by calling and telling them I was done choosing and please send ASAP I had them in about 10 days. Since your trip isn't until October you probably don't have to worry about rushing them, but if you have to wait a while before you buy your AP, just wanted you and others reading to know you can push up the waiting period.

Parking is free with AP. Your MB will have your AP already recorded on it so when you drive up to the gate stretch your arm with the MB towards the CM and they will pull out a scanner and scan you.

Enjoy! We'll be there mid Oct through mid November, so we may see ya, lol.

I thought you order a voucher for the AP and don't actually get the pass until you arrive? Anyhow, you can also wait until you arrive and get your AP when you get to the park on the first day. We did this in December and it took about 5-10 minutes; no biggie. They linked it to our Magic Bands at purchase, I believe, and we had no problems at all. We were already making FP+ selections before we arrived, as well. At that time the MM+ was wrapping up their testing, so we had the Magic Bands and access to FP+ before our trip; we just added the AP once we got there.

I was able to link my parents ap using their confirmation number provided when they purchased them. It was easy and took about five minutes. Just look for the notification in mde to confirm linking them. My sister missed it and she had issues with her aps

How did you make FP+ reservations without a ticket already linked?

An AP voucher ("exchange certificate") can be linked to enable FP+ selections. If you simply order Will Call, the will call number on the confirmation works as well.

I'm not sure. We were using MDE app and the online page to do so. They instructed us when we made our reservations to customize magic bands, dining, and FP+ selections. We were able to do all of this before we arrived. We ordered UT paper tickets for the kids and may have linked those once the tickets arrived at home, but the adults didn't get AP until we arrived at the gate of MK (and we didn't order the voucher and pre-link it). Could it be possible it allowed us to do so because MM+ was still in its test phase? :confused3

We have a voucher for my husbands AP, can we get it at Animal Kingdom Lodge or do we have to go to a park? Thanks

It must be done at any ticket window at the parks/TTC or Guest Relations at Downtown Disney. The resorts cannot process Annual Passes at all.
