We are headed to Disney in a few weeks and have our MBs. If we go back for another trip and stay off property - no ponits left, but want to get one more trip in before our APs expire - can we still book our FP+ in advance because we already have MBs or would we have to do it each day when we arrive?

My friends with APs and previous trip Magic Bands said they could book FP+ 60 days out for 7 consecutive days (I think it was 7 anyway).

APs are unique in the MDE/magic band system. For all tickets other than APs you can make FP+'s starting 60 days from arrival only if you have a Disney on-site reservation. With already activated APs you don't need a room reservation. You can go on line at any time to MDE and make FP+'s for the next 60 calendar days, e.g, today is January 19 and with an active AP connected to my MDE site, I could go on line today and make FP+s for tomorrow, the next day, and any day up to 60 days from today.

We have activated APs and they are linked to MDE but it won't let us make any reservations for any day online. When speaking to a cast member I was told that AP holders can only make FP+ reservations at the Parks themselves. Not sure I am doing something wrong or drusba is just lucky.

I can confirm, I have a AP, and a Magic Band from November, no reservations between now and june. and I have FP+ for TSMM, ToT, and ST:TAC on March 20th, 2014.

How are you able to do that online? When I try I get:

We're Sorry!

In order to select FastPass+ experiences, party members must have a valid ticket and be within at least one party member's FastPass+ selection window.

Yet I have messages saying my APs are successfully linked. I don't get it.

Thanks. That is good news. I am not thrilled about staying offsite, at least I know I can make my FP+ before I get there.

Are your AP active?
Is it after your AP expire?

Try them one at a time (well try one, then copy to the others.)

I did it online though a web browser just now.

And just incase anyone else gets up set that I'm keeping 2 hard ticket FP+, I just canceled them... so they ar eback in the pool.

Currently you can only make FP+ selections ahead of time, if you've stayed on property during the term of your current AP.

Example- I have an active AP, but I couldn't make FP+ ahead of time, for dates before the first day of my DVC reservation over Thanksgiving.

But after that check-in day, I can now make FP+ for as much as seven days at a time- any days within the next sixty. I can actually make FP+ selections right now for tomorrow. (I won't, sadly I'm sitting in Ohio.)

The hope is that Disney will "fix" this in the future so that all AP owners will be able to reserve ahead of time without an on-property hotel stay.

No one knows if this will come to pass or not. Disney has said that access to the system will be for everyone, but they've been silent on whether all park visitors will have advance planning access.

Not sure if I am understanding this right but thought I'd chime in-- my APs let me make FP+ selections BEFORE I activated. (Purchased 1/2, activated 1/10).

Sounds like you might need to call and get help if it's not letting you make them without it being activated?

Our APs are activated. We used them last August while staying on property. Maybe because FP+ was only in the testing phase at the time that doesn't count. We also have on property reservations for this August, but that is more than 60 days away. In any event, I am not able to make any FP+ reservations.

Do you have Magic Bands?

I think you are correct. You haven't got the magic band yet and you are still 60 days out.

I've had my AP since last March, but my first Magic band trip was in November. I was well within my 60 day window when I set up my fastpass + for that trip.

I think it's because you have that Aug 20th resie...it's thinking you need FP+ for that and it's not at the 60 day window yet.
