First time buying an AP.
I know the AP is good for 365 days, then I need to renew it. My question is, if I buy the AP now but don't use it until June, does my 365 days start now or when it is first used? Sorry, a newbie here :):thumbsup2

Your pass clock does not start until you activate it at the gate...not when you purchase.

Depends on if you bought an annual pass or if you bought a voucher for an annual pass. Be absolutely certain what you purchased.

I was planning on buying an AP from the U:confused3niversal website, not a voucher. At least, I don't think I am buying a voucher.?

You years starts the first time you go thru the gates. :thumbsup2

AAA and travel agencies sell vouchers that you need to trade for actual passes. I don't know if you get an actual pass from Universal in the mail or you need to still go to a ticket booth. I got a AAA voucher in 2003, since then I just need to call Universal to renew (very easy). Anyway, your pass year starts the first day you go through the turnstiles.

I just read that UOR raised AP prices on April 22. Didn't hear about that before they did it. Sneaky.

i bought my ap back in 2002 and when i did, it was online.
i recieved a voucher that i activated to a picture hard plastic ap card in the park.

the day i activated it was the start of the one year ap.

from what i have read on the boards, if you order online, you are sent the voucher.
you activate that on your first visit to the park.

they now issue the tyvek paper ap pass with no picture on them.

they never announce in advance when the aps increase in price.

i received a flyer that said i could get a discount if i renewed soon.

I bought an AP online for our Feb 2012 trip. Used the Will Call option instead of having something sent. Thought I needed to go to Will Call, but the line was long so I took a chance with the kiosk. Put in my info, and out popped an actual Tyvek AP with my name printed on it and everything! Still using that one (when you renew you just keep using the same card...they don't have the YEAR on it, just month and day)!

It had the date that I printed it from the kiosk, by the way. Not the date I bought it.

Yes, my power pass went up $10 since I bought it in march

I am going to buy an annual power pass on my trip in a week. My questions is I just recently moved out of state and wont have my new drivers license when we go to purchase. Is that going to be a problem? TIA

I would think if you're buying a nonresident pass the ID would just be to verify your identity and the address shouldn't matter
