Last year we order our AP's through DVC and got the green vouchers. This year I thought we'd just purchase them when we get to the park. If I purchase at the park, will I still get me DVC discount? Is there any proof that I need to bring for my 4 year old daughter to get the discount too (DH and I will have our DVC member cards)? THANKS:thumbsup2

Yes, you can get the DVC discount at the parks or DTD. You just need your DVC card, photo id for you and your DH and the old APs if you're renewing. EVen if it's a new AP rather than a renewal, take your old AP as it will speed up the process.

No id needed for your little one.

Which is the easiest way to get your AP pass, order ahead and get the voucher or just go to the park? We are cominging in on a Saturday afternoon (not going to a park) and I would like to get my pass that day so I do not have to stand in line and have my party waiting on me the 1st day of our vacation. Can you get AP pass anywhere other then the parks, we will have a car.

You can get Annual Passes at any theme park ticket window, any theme park guest relations window and the guest relations locations at Downtown Disney.

If you pre-order, you will still have to go to one of those locations to exchange the voucher for the actual AP.

You can purchase APs only at Guest Relations at any park including the water parks or DTD. Personally I wouldn't do it a day early as your AP year starts ticking as soon as you purchase one or exchange a voucher. I've never found the lines long if there at park opening. I usually leave for the parks a few minutes before the rest of the crew to take care of the APs.

There is no longer any advantage to purchasing ahead of time unless you beat a price increase.

edited to add: Oops, Michael beat me to it and did a better job....I forgot that you can purchase them at ticket windows.

Okay I was told that when I go in May I could buy/pay for my DD AP since she is going by herself in Aug, I would have to assume that they would give me a voucher and then she would have to pick up her AP in person in Aug?

Where in DTD can I get the AP I would prefer to get it the day we arive so the next day we are off and running and I will have it. Thanks for the info

There are two guest services location at DTD. One is located next to Team Mickey. The other is on the west side.

They do not sell vouchers at any of the WDW locations, they only sell active annual passes. The only way to get an exchange voucher is to call MS or on-line via the member website.

Getting the green voucher allows you to book AP cash rates through the Disney passholder website, which is an advantage to waiting to purchase your pass at the park. If you're using points, it doesn't help, but if paying cash this advantage could help a lot (up to 45% off with current AP discount).

I bought two APs for me and my son last summer, planning to activate them this year. I did not receive anything in the mail -- I just have the confirmation number. Should I have received a voucher?

You have to pay a fee to have exchange vouchers mailed, otherwise it's just a confirmation number.

Can I purchase my DD AP pass when I go in May (she is going in Aug) I was told by MS I could and should take a copy of her license to prove she lives with me and I can pay for it so she does not have to bring my dvc card and worry about it in Aug.??? I am going to go to DTD on the 1st day (staying at OKW so we can try the boat) and will get my pass.

My next question: I was looking at park hoppers for DD friends that are traveling with her. I noticed that a 5 day park hopper was 280.00 I also noticed that if they got a 10 day magic your way pass it is 243.00. I asked MS if they did buy the 10 day pass (they are going to be there 6 days) could they use the same ticket for say MK in morning then use another day on the pass to go to Epcot the same night and was told yes. They will not go to more then 2 parks in a day and they plan on going to a water park at least 1 day if not more (they already have tickets for water parks) so I know they will not need more then 10 days. Can anyone verify that this is correct? It is a bit crazy since last year my Aunt and Uncle had bought an 8 day park hopper for 290.00 pp (package with entire stay) and 1st and last day were wasted because of flight times, they would have been better of buying 6 to 8 day MYW pass and saving 100.00.

The 10 day MYW for $243 does not include park hopping. The park hopper is an additional $52. Any remaining days on that ticket will expire 14 days from first use unless the No Expire option is added. It's an additional $209 to add the No Expire option to a 10 day MYW ticket.

That is good to know. It wasn't the case some years ago. You had to have the actual AP. I agree that it is a significant advantage in some circumstances.

There used to be some discount for renewing early but it ended some years ago.

Yes, to your first question. I typically buy all of our families APs while the rest of the family moseys to the park 5 minutes or so behind me. The one big catch is that you need photo id for her. But if you have her passport for instance while she keeps her drivers license, you'll be fine. Are you sure you want to buy it that many months ahead though. It will start ticking as soon as you purchase. If she buys it in Aug., she'll have an extra 3 months of use.

As for the 10 day MYW pass, it makes sense to me that you could use up two days of admission on the same calendar day at different parks. Why not shoot Cheshire Figment or GoldenOldie a PM and ask? Or just ask on the Theme Park forum.

The CM was completely INcorrect. Cheshire_Figment's ticket sticky, I believe, has a big mention of this. At the second park your ticket will be denied. You have to add the hopping option to tickets in order to hop.

BumperShoot is correct. The ONLY way to get into two theme parks on the same day with a ticket is to purchase the park hopper option. You cannot use two days on the same date.

The turnstyle will deny entry at the second park with a message to the cast member that "CROSSOVER NOT PERMITTED." At this point, they'd explain to your friends that they could pay the $52 to upgrade their ticket to include the park hopper option.

Number of days you purchase on a ticket should be interpreted as the number of separate dates you want to go into a park. It shouldn't be confused with a number of admissions. The hopper option determines if you can visit only a single or multiple parks on any of those dates.

They may also want to validate membership when your daughter exchanges her voucher for the ticket. I'd recommend you make a copy of your membership card and your license for her to take with her. That way she can prove that she does live at the same address as the member.

Ok MS told me when I buy my AP pass in May that I can bring a copy of her license for proof that she resides with me and I can purchase her pass and that it would not be validated until her 1st trip into the park in Aug??? I believe your posts are telling me differently. I do not want her pass to start in May!

I guess I will bring her info with me and ask when I am down there, all I want to do is pay for it so she does not have to worry about bringing the money for the AP pass. Thanks for all the valueable input, I cannot believe how much I have learned on this forum!
