I have a few questions about the AP's. First of all, if you buy the tickets via will call, is there a time that the kiosks are open in the morning (like an hour before park open)? Second, how long does it actually take to process the pass? Basicallyy, would we be better off going and then getting everything done later in the day rather than first thing? Third, is there one park that is faster or less busy than the other that would be easier to process the passes?

Thanks!

I wouldn't wait till the end of the day to process your pass. They normally have a line first thing in the morning and then late in the evening. I would do it in the middle of the day if possible. I've processed my pass at both parks and they both take the same amount of time.

Robert, about how long does it take to process the pass if it's not first thing in the morning? We'll arrive in Orlando as early as possible on a Sunday morning (we'll stay the night before in Jacksonville), but will need to check in at RP to get our magic room keys and then head to the parks.

How does it work with the "will call" and the APs? Can we get the tickets from the will call, get into the parks and then return mid-day to process the passes or do the passes need to be processed as soon as we enter the park?

Thanks, T&B

One thing to remember, your voucher is used to get you into the park and then you go the area for your AP processing. If for some reason you do not get it done during that day you may be out of luck, and a lot of money. It says on the voucher that you must apply for the AP before you leave the park that day. I'd do it first thing and get it over with.

M&S, Thanks for the heads up! Unless we get there and the line is very long I'll just plan to do it as soon as we get in. Since we're driving from Jacksonville we probably won't be at the park when it first opens. If I don't do that I'll spend my day worrying about forgetting...

When we got ours first thing in the morning, there was a small line that moved very quick. The employees were very pleasant also.

Last time we got APs there was no-one ahead of us and it took about 30 minutes for our family of 4. A bit too long in my view - they kept having to retake the photos and then they put the wrong dates on all the passes and had to start again!

Make sure you check the dates when they produce the passes. The same thing happened at WDW during the same trip! Maybe we're just unlucky!

We have gotten our passes for the last 3 years and all three years have been different. The first year we waited in line for more than 2 hours, the second year was 30 minutes and then last year we got the, buy one year get the 2nd year free and it only took 5 minutes. All three passes were processed at different times in the day and last year it was processed around 4pm. Good luck and enjoy.
