I have a question about AP processing at DCA. I read it in another thread, but I don't remember if this question was answered...

I'm going to buy my AP beforehand from either the Disney Store or online. We are arriving on a Friday morning and plan on hitting DCA first. In another thread I read that you can go to DCA and give them the ticket for your AP and they will send you to Guest Relations and enter all your info and give you another ticket and tell you to go to the Bank at DL to get your picture taken and your AP printed, but you don’t have to do it that day. So my question is, with the ticket they give you, can you use that to get FP’s and to show when you eat to get your discounts? Or it is strictly used for JUST entering either park..?

Also how much time do you have from when you HAVE to go get your picture taken at DL?

TIA! :)

Disneyland opens before Calif Adventure, so why not just start at Disneyland, go to the bank, get your AP taken care of and be on your way?

You could probably call the number on the Disneyland website and find out the answers to your questions.

We're not leaving until about 8am from home. And on Fridays there's traffic that we usually hit going South, so by the time we get to DLR and are parked, DCA will be open by then since it opens at 10am we can go straight there.

I know the line for the bank at DL gets long pretty quickly anyways. So if we could do that at later time when the line isn't so long it would be best instead of wasting quality park time.

We were there March 21-25th. We upgraded our Park Hopper's on that Monday (3/24). It was VERY BUSY that day because of the spring break crowds. However when we went to the Bank to upgrade there was no line! Just walked up to a "teller". I did notice that earlier in the day when we arrived the line was out the door.
So I guess my suggestion based on my experience would be to go late in the afternoon. We went right after the late parade was done.

Thanks! That sounds like a good idea to go then. Usually when we go and walk by first thing in the morning, the line is sooo long.. I would hate to waste time waiting in line..

I think we will try in the late afternoon. Thank you! :upsidedow

From what we have experienced. You Must get your AP at Dl first... DCA is for renewals only.. The line is usually not that long. we had no line on 3/18 at 10 am...

Also you would want the AP to get your discounts and such. Also with an AP you do not need a hand stamp.

I read in another thread (I'll find it) that someone went to DCA and they processed their APs there and all they had to do was go to the bank at DL and get their picture taken since DCA didn't have cameras...
