AP Pick-up location and duration

Okay, Here is a question I have not been able to find out. I will be "hopefully" rebooking my GF May trip with an AP discount code. I will be purchasing my AP voucher at my local Dis Store. I will be checking into the GF at around 9:00pm, will I need the actual AP in hand at check-in and where do I actually p/u the pass??? I also would like to know how long it takes to get the AP once I go to the location for it's P/U. Sorry for the redunant questions, but I do not want to go there thinking this is a 5 min process and it winds up taking 1 hour with my two boys asking me every 2 seconds "How much longer till we can go into Mickey's house"(thats what we call the MK)

Since no one else has posted I'll try to help. We activated AP vouchers in June 2001. We checked in at the Poly on an AP rate. They did not ask to see the voucher or the AP, but I have read other threads where some CM's require you to show the AP. That seems to vary. You can redeem your voucher at any of the guest services windows at any of the parks (Epcot, TTC, AK or MGM) and also at DTD. The process for our family of 4 took about 15 minutes, but we had a very friendly & chatty CM so it could take less time. We made three trips on those passes - it was great! Hope this helps.

I believe your voucher will qualify you as an AP holder if you are asked to show it. I have found that the process takes only about 5 minutes to get the AP issued. More depends on the length of the line ahead of you. The guest relations window at Epcot was usually the least crowed the few times I needed to visit the window.

I have never heard of anyone being turned away with just the Voucher. Worse case scenario has been that the CM has asked the person to come back and show the pass before the end of their stay, but that is very rare.
