Just one little question about paying for AP's. I'm guessing that they do accept English Credit Cards as payment at the front gates or guest services? If someone could confirm this for me it would stop me panicking that we don't have enough currency!

Buying an Annual Pass seems like a tricky business at times :goodvibes but yes they do accept all forms of credit cards :thumbsup2

I am going to bump this as I have an AP question.

We have got tickets as part of the package as we are staying at DCR.

If I were to buy an AP whilst there, because we have 5 day hopper tickets, would the 'cost' of these be deducted from the AP price? I read about if you have a 1 day ticket it was deducted but no mention of any other. I am sooooo confused!

No unfortunately if the tickets were bought as part of a package they have no value so no deduction

No tickets that come as part of a package have no value to them - they are usually marked "forfait" to show they have zero value in terms of exchanging them. Only tickets purchased at the gates or other suppliers which have a price printed on them can be exchanged for their purchase value. This also decreases as the ticket gets older i.e. on day 1 of you purchasing it and being in the park its worth face value against a pass, on day 2 it has a decreased value etc.

Thanks Ruthiebabe :goodvibes

So, how easy is it to book a stay in a Disney Hotel WITHOUT the tickets being included, say if I were to buy an AP?

Once you have bought your AP, its dead easy - you just phone the normal Disney booking number 08448 008 111, tell them you have an AP, and ask them about room prices for the times you're looking to go.

I've seen posts from members here recently which would suggest you can also now book onsite rooms using the same prices, without having park tickets included, then you can buy your APs your first day there.

If you have an AP how many times a year would you have to go to make it worthwhile? What sort of deals do you get in the hotels onsite?

Anything over three days it's cheaper to buy APs. Even if you only go for three days you can break even or even save money using the discounts on restaurants and shopping.

Remember if you get sponsored you get 10% off the price. So you start saving money even sooner.

You can compare prices here
http://www.dlp.info/Guide/Guest-Info/Passports/Passports.asp It's in euros but it gives you the basics to figure out the best option for you.

The onsite hotel discounts are very good but it depends how much you want to spend it the first place. Personally we found staying offsite worked out incredibly cheap with the APs.

I'd be happy to provide more info if you need it and I would be able to sponsor up to 9 people too :)

Sorry I haven't given more detailed info - I'm just heading out to visit relatives, but will check in this evening if someone else hasn't already helped you out.

We paid for our AP on Tuesday with a British credit card so you certainly can.

ruthiebabie, your correct and this almost caught us out when we went to upgrade them on the second day. Thankfully after some banter they back dated them a day so we only had to pay an extra €21 each!

Take the situation I had last week when I was at Disney.

My partner and I had a 2 Day hopper pass which we bought from expedia for £84 each (Monday & Tuesday).

We did plan to go sight seeing on Wednesday before we had to leave late afternoon on the Thursday. This didn't happen, we upgraded to the Fantasy AP for an extra €21 and spent all day Wednesday and part day Thursday in Disney.

The on-site discounts are 10% for SELECTED DATES with the Fantasy and up to 30% with the Dream AP.

Hi I am new to this and I have bought a 5 day hopper from Disneyland paris on the internet.

Can I change this to a fantasy pass? would I need to do this at the Park when I arrive? Also were would I go to do this?

I am going a few days before my DH and me and my DD's do not speak any french, so really worried about sorting things out for this trip.

If you've already bought and paid for your 5-day hopper, and you can't sell it on or return it and get your money back, you might be just as well not buying a Fantasy AP this time - as you'll only get the value of a one-day pass as a discount on your Fantasy AP.

But yes, you can do it.

And please don't worry about not being able to speak French - neither can I, and I've never had any trouble being understood. The CM's speak English once they know you don't speak French (for example, if you say "Hello" instead of "Bonjour" they will switch to English).

Quick question. We're going for six days with a package booked through dineyland website, tickets included. So figure we wouldn't get anything off price of AP. We tend to go once a year for about a week, but would probably go more often if we had these. (Have found cheap flights from glasgow and could always go for a cheaper hotel plus if you get money off)

Anyway heres my problem should I get them next week while my 3 year old would get one for free or wait until next trip? How do I go about getting sponsored? Does it take a long time cause next week at this time we'll be on the plane?

Ooops thats lots of problems:confused:

It would depend on when you would hope to have your next trips using APs.
If you think you might go in the next year, yes, it would make sense to buy your APs this trip (either on your first day, to start using the AP discounts this trip) or on your last day, to add 5 days to the expiry on the AP. Then you'll get your 3-year olds free.

Sponsoring doesn't take long - pop a request on the AP sponsor thread, and let them know how quickly you need the sponsor info (ie asap :goodvibes ). Here is the link to that thread -
http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1104480

You can't combine the sponsor offer and the free kids AP offer, so make sure you do those in 2 separate transactions (ie buy one adult and get the childs free, then in a separate transaction do the other APs you need all with sponsorship discount).

Remember, with every AP you buy (except the free childs one) you can start being a sponsor yourself after one month, and so you could possibly extend your APs for free for an extra 12 months.

Hope this helps,

So how does sponsorship work? Does somebody just tell me their AP no. and I go with that to the desk in the park?:confused3
