AP Passes?

We are considering buying Ap's this year, since two trips are being planned. We've never bought these before. It is my understanding we can order over the phone and get our Disney Club discount by getting a voucher mailed and upon arrival exchange the voucher at the gate for the actual pass. Is this correct? Also, when does the actual 12 month period start-- when we receive the vouchers or when we actually exchange them for the pass?
Also, I hope to get a good deal on our second trips hotel stay using the AP. Since this will all be new, what other advantages come with getting an AP? Thanks for any info. and excuse my ignorance on the subject.

You can get your DC discount over the phone, when purchashing at TDS or you can still get it if you purcahse your AP at WDW.

Your understanding of the voucher exchange is correct. Your one year starts the day you exchange the voucher at WDW. If you wait to buy them when you get to WDW, there is no voucher involved. You will get the actual activated AP and the year will run from that day.

Either way would probably work. I am assuming they accept the Disney Club discounts at the parks. I would find that out, first!

Yes, they do accept Disney Club discounts at the gate for AP's.

If you buy them in advance is there an additional discount in addition to the Disney Club discount? How much is the AP for an adult with the discount? Thanks!

No need to assume. I wouldn't have said it if it wasn't so.

There are currently only two discounts available on AP/PAP's: DC discount or Florida Resident discount. There is no advance purcahse discount on AP/PAP's. Adult AP with DC discount is currently $377.01.
