Just talked to 3 different people at WDW and got 3 different answers. Im sure the Disboarders can set me straight ! We are going to be staying at the GF RPC May 7-13 Im getting 2 rooms one for us one for MIL & FIL Std Room in Main Bldg and our room Main Bldg Deluxe King. All with Deluxe Dining.

Price for Main Bldg Deluxe King Room 2 adults + 1 Infant = 5312.54

Price for Main Bldg Std. Room 2 adults + 2 kids (3,5) = 6411.54

Then I asked about tickets and they told me they were included. When I called back to asked how it all worked the last lady told me no tickets were included because of the AP Pass. So do I need to buy tickets with this package ? Also I was looking online and it shows restaurants with 10%-20% off is the Deluxe Dining they are quoting me just a % off ? Where do I get the AP pass ? Can I order it before we go ? How long does the vocher take to arrive ? Sorry for all the questions but I am totally confused.

If you booked an AP rate, you hvae to show them an AP. You can get it after check in but you should show it to them because you could get stuck paying rack rate.

I'm not sure abut the rest because you can book deluxe dining with an AP which would mean you do not need other tickets to book the package. Someone else here should chime in with the correct information.

When I put in your info, deluxe dining, same dates, 2 adults, 2 kids, their ages, GF main building, I get $1000 less than your quote. You might want to call and check that out. The other day I called to add dining and the CM was adding $200 extra dollars so I cancelled and booked it myself. While it isn't something you asked, you might want to consider that you'll have food on the club level so that added to the deluxe dining plan will be A LOT of food.

Thank you so much for the info. We were there in Sept and never used the CL offerings but really enjoyed the Deluxe Dining. The only reason Im booking Main Bldg is for the conveince to monorail. We are all healthy adults with no walking problems but I have 3 kinds 2,3,5 and I thought it might be nicer to be closer to the monorail. After doing some figuring its $4449 more to stay in the Main Bldg. Thats ALOT ! Do you think the walk from regular room at GF to monorail is very far ? Can you please double check my quotes ?

Outer Bldg GV Deluxe Dining 2 Adults 2 kids (3,5)

Outer Bldg GV Deluxe Dining 2 Adults 1 child (2)

GF outer building garden view =3781.24
2 adults
2 children ages 3 and 5

GF outer building garden view = 3493.46
2 adults
1 infant

savings = 4449.38

Thats the same as the quotes I have. Thanks for checking. Do you think I should change from main bldg to outer bldg ?

You're welcome.
We love staying in the main building BUT we do eat the food to the point that we don't get any dining plan because we only eat 1 meal in the parks each day. We have breakfast and our evening meal at the GF from the club level food.
If we would not be eating the club level offerings, then we'd stay in an outer building. The savings would be enough to pay for another trip.

you keep typing 4439 -- I think you mean $439. I almost fell over when you said it was $4000 more, I knew that couldn't be right. Are you typing a 4 instead of a $?

Edited: I read a little more closely and I think you are saying $4000. I never stay at the GF, but I just can't believe that that is the difference between the two buildings, unless one is with the AP discount and one is not? Maybe that's what's going on?

As for the AP and tickets -if you booked an AP ticketless package (so that's either an AP discounted room or a rack rate room), you do not need to purchase tickets to add a dining plan.

No, that is a 4. Both have the AP discount. I agree it's a steep difference.

Want to clarify too that this is for 2 rooms.

If you are staying RPC, not eating much of the food so you are close to the monorail, that's a lot of money. Remember, the monorail is on the 2nd floor and you will be on either third, fourth or fifth floor, so you will have to possibly go down a long hallway to the elevator. I would request an outer building closer to the main building, and I don't think you will find it take more than a couple minutes more to get to the monorail.

As for AP room rates. They are room only, you are expected to have an AP on check in. You can purchase one AP ahead of time and get a voucher in the mail that you can activate when you get to WDW. If you get the voucher you will have access to the AP website. So, if you bought an AP now, got a voucher in a couple of weeks, your year of use, doesn't start with the purchase, rather when you active it at WDW. That must be done at a ticket window at a park.

The $4000 figure is probably close to the difference for both rooms. The RPC is very expensive. If you look at the quote that was posted in post #2, the RPC standard room is $1.630.12 more than an outer building.

Good luck with whatever you decided. You are staying at the GF, which makes for a magical time!

Thanks everyone, I love this site, you all have the best info. Yes I think I have to switch from Main to Outer Bldg, its a huge difference for 2 rooms and I am pretty sure we wont use the RPC hardly at all if we stayed in the main bldg. I didnt realize I would have access to the AP site with the voucher, Im going to call tomarrow and order it. Thanks again
