AP or Premier Passports?

I noted one post about where to buy AP in Canada, but does anyone have any experience with the new Premier Passports?

If you buy an AP or PP now do you still get the discount online for buying other passes or merchandise? I will be most likely be ordering a pass soon but I want to know if I should wait to buy my other passes, like Mickey's Halloween, until I get the discount.

We have had both an WDW AP as well as the Premier Passports. I do believe when I was ordering tickets for the Halloween Party and Christmas Party, I had to enter my AP/PAP # and if I booked over the phone I had to give my number.
