AP or Park Hopper?

A friend of mine suggested an AP for our 2007 trip. She said I might be able to get better room rates and possibly other discounts. We do not visit often and this 2007 trip may be it for quite a while (DH is NOT a Disney fan). We were looking into renting points from a DVC owner, so the room thing may not be important. Are there any other reasons to have an AP over a regular park hopper ticket?
By the way, there will be 4 adults and 2 children, and we are planning a five night stay. ;)

I would say no.

If you're renting points, you'll get a great rate on your room, and the discounts are negligible. 10% at World of Disney, and some lunch discounts around the parks. The only other thing worth while is the Disney Dining Experience which costs an extra $60 (is it $60 now?) and gives you 20% off at some of the restaurants around property.

If you won't be visiting more than the 5 nights, I would stick with your original plan of just purchasing the Magic Your Way tickets. :)

Have a fantastic trip!

From what I've researched it wouldn't pay for you to get the AP. If you were going to go more that once in the year period but not if you won't use it again. Stick with the Magic Your Way tickets. :cool1:

We are going this May and staying at the Polynesian for 5 nights. We have no other WDW trips planned within the following 12 months.

For the room discount alone, the AP is worth it for our situation. Saved $500 ($100/night), so I'll be using an AP and DH and kids will have park tixs.

Wouldn't think it'd be worth it for your 5 night trip unless you were staying in a deluxe during regular or peak season.
