AP or not?

We go to Disney every January for 6 days, and we go in Sept for 3 or 4 days. Do you think we should buy the AP? I had it before, and I like the discount on the rooms. I have found recently that in Sept they give good room discounts anyway, and sometimes in Jan. So do you think it would be worth it to buy the pass, or just hope for room discounts alone?
