AP or CG?

I've been trying unsuccessfully to book SoA for the Friday of our trip but in the meantime have an ADR at Artist Point. While doing my millionth search today I came across an open ADR for CG so now I'm torn - should I book the ADR for CG or keep the one at Artist Point. I've never eaten at either one - which one is better? Both ressies are for early in the evening 5:45 since we'll have the kids with us (ages 3,3, and 5) - so which would be the better choice?

I would probably go with the California Grill ressie. Both restaurants are really good choices for dinner, but CG is a little more "hustle bustle" which might work better with three children. Also, they have some fun kids options if I recall correctly. AP is a good place to eat, but in my experience has been much more quiet and reserved. If your kids are used to that atmosphere, you might do well there, but if you will want to get up with them at all, it is pretty common at CG to do that. You can take them to the observation deck or enjoy looking out the window and pointing out all of the different Disney landmarks. You can see EVERYTHING from up there! Either way, I think you will have a great meal.

both restaurants. CG has more cutting edge, up to date food. AP is more traditional and the menu doesn't change that often.

The atmospheres and menu reflect their styles. AP is better for a quiet, romantic dinner. CG is going to be really good food, but the atmosphere will be a bit louder an more hectic.

I would do CG with kids that age - and bring some toys.

Oh, and hurry up before the slot disappears.
