I saw on another site that the FL resident passholders may be offered a monthly installment plan in the near future. Do you think that may happen with DVC APs (purchase or renewal)? :rolleyes1:rolleyes1:rolleyes1

I think they will only offer this to FL residents as a way to get more FL residents to purchase passes.

Universal has had this option for a while & I'm kind of surpised (yet kind of not) that WDW hasn't offered this as well.

Sea World and Busch Gardens also have a payment plan. I've been waiting for a WDW payment plan ever since they introduced it in So California for DLR in 2008.

I bet WDW would sell many more AP's and make 'free' money off of them if they did this. I could see many people buying them / renewing them and not using them. Or more people may say, "Heck I've got passes, let's try to sneak in a quick trip".

I completely agree. Ours expire in April, and I don't think we're going to renew. With a family of four, all now considered adults, it's a big outlay of cash all at once. I may rethink it if a payment plan were available. And we are so guilty of the "heck, we've got passes, let's sneak in another trip!";)

I wish they would do this for DVC members also.

Last year was our first with APs. We definitely did "oh, it won't cost much since we already have admission...and DVC" and did more trips than we would have otherwise.

I agree with the PP, it's a lot of cash to put out at once. A monthly installment plan would be great!

I was able to get my DVC discount when I renewed my Disneyland AP and paid for the premium AP with monthly installments. It is in place at Disneyland. If they started it at WDW, my DH and I might be tempted to get WDW APs also. I think our families would finally think we have gone overboard to have APs at both Disneyland and WDW.

Just put it on a credit card and pay it out over time. Same difference.

Ok I really see no advantage to this. I mean if you don't have the cash at the time of purchase how is paying it in installments going to help.

Simply put that much money aside, even in a savings account, draw a little interest on it and then buy the tickets.

If the AP installment plan is the same price as paying for the AP up front, I'd go for it. It would be like an interest free loan. I could keep my money longer. However if it added up to more, I'd have to run the numbers to see if it was worth it.

To make a long story short. I think Walt Disney World would wait to see how Disneyland did with AP Monthly Payments. Also, Universal and Walt Disney World use two different ticketing software platforms. Disneyland and Universal use the same ticketing software platform. WDW's software didn't have the capability to offer the AP's.

I am interest in purchasing the Domestic Park Pass as we travel to Orlando at least twice a year. :)

If it's interest free, I don't see any drawback. I can get my tickets now, not later!:thumbsup2 I guess I'm not a patient person.:rolleyes1

It's in place for Southern CA residents only and look what's it's done to attendance, the crowds have been crazy now that there are a million APs.

The economy has hit our family very hard this year. I never use credit cards to pay for vacation expense, theya re strictly for emergencies. I don't have the cash to pay for 3 AP's up front. I payy my dues monthly so why not my AP's. So, yes to many of us it would be a big help for AP's to be paid on a monthly basis and I hope they implement it.
