Hi, we have a trip scheduled for April 2014. My daughter and I have had APs for years because I'm a DVC member. I have not renewed this year because of the MB brouhaha. We usually take guests with us and will be doing so again in April. Our guests do not have APs. Money wise, renewing our APs makes sense because we're going again in Novermber 2014. The sticking point is will we all be able to book ride reservations the same way? It seemed like there was some question about that unless maybe the questions only arose during the testing phase.
Thanks so much for any input you may have.

Thanks, I guess I'll wait to renew until right before our trip. We should have feedback from Dissers by then.

The fact that we are in a testing phase issue doesn't really matter here. You are already able to make FP+ selections for a group of people with linked tickets. Although things may change I highly doubt Disney is going to make it harder for guests to do things as a group.

The kind of ticket you have shouldn't matter. You just all need to have a ticket linked to your MDE profile. My family has all different tickets. Some have APs, some have PAPs, some have non-expiring hoppers and some have expiring hoppers. We are all able to make the same FP+ reservations.

The key is to make sure you are all linked under your MDE account(s) and to have a ticket linked to each person. As long as that is done you will be able to make FP+ selections for all of you.

I thought that meant that you don't have tickets.

Yes, I'm sorry that I wasn't clear. Part of my dilemma is whether or not to renew the APs. If we can all book FP+ in the same way, then I'll renew. If however, the rules applied differently because DVC tickets might have different rules, then I would not renew those. I want us all to be on the same page as far as touring the parks.

You will definitely all be able to make FP+ selections the same way. Make sure you are all in one MDE account or that multiple accounts are linked. After that anyone in the group should be able to make FP+ selections for all of you, regardless of what kind of tickets you have.

The one thing to remember is that those with park hoppers will only make selections for the number of days on their tickets. AP holders will be able to make selections for as many days as they would like.
