AP holder best rate for campsites?

I know this must have been asked before, but I am exhaused from my cruise and it would be so much easier (for me) if someone could just tell me the answer. Didn't mother always say honesty is the best policy?

Can you get the AP best rate on campsites? We have an AP rate for April 23+ next year and I noticed that the best rate timeframe is approaching for us. I don't have an AP right now so I can't log in.

I got a quote for an AP Best Rate for my December trip for a Partial Hookup, but it was only $1 less than the AAA rate per night. The nonrefundable deposit was too much of a sticky for $10 bucks savings.

$1 savings sure doesn't seem worth it! Plus we don't have APs this year, and if we got them I know we'd go to FW more than we should. We have family in Sarasota, so there's always an excuse, but add in APs and we'd be sunk! I'd also want to hit Spring Training in march 2007. Totally not worth it for us.
