I can set FP today buying AP now.... Will they be linked to my MDE immediately? I plan to have them mailed vs will call

You should be able to link them to your MDE account immediately if you were going to got the will call route -- be sure you have the will call number. I don't know if the tickets are mailed to you if they can give you a number that can be entered immediately. Perhaps not. In any event, MS may be able to link them if you can't, but you'll still need the number.

If you are logged into MDE when you buy it online, it shoud automatically link.

We bought APs for our upcoming trip and they are linked into MDE but I never received anything in the mail. Should I be worried?

I think you should get AP version Magic Bands (which are just MBs with a little AP slider) if you have APs linked to your upcoming on site stay. Then you would get the box with the AP discount cards in it. You can always stop by guest relations in the parks to get the actual AP cards.

I'm not entirely sure of this because we upgraded during our trip and after we got home, we got a notice to customize new bands and they were just mailed to us after our trip.

Maybe someone else can confirm how it worked for them when they bought their APs in advance.

If you selected will call, you will not get anything mailed to you. As long as you have the confirmation, you will have no issues redeeming for your actual passes.

With standard shipping, they would mail exchange certificates (aka vouchers) which are green plastic cards.

I bought ours a few weeks back and selected mail option. I was able to immediately use the one confirmation number to link all four annual passes in MDE- though I was logged in it did not link automatically- so you should be fine!

within two weeks of buying I received the voucher cards to bring to guest services and will activate when I get to the parks in May

No magic bands for the APs until you actually activate the passes- then you can customize and mail to you. But if staying on site will get a magic band to use regardless

Easiest way to buy and link: Go into MDE site and sign in, open "Parks & Tickets" folder at top left. Click on Annual Passes and you will be taken to a page to start buying the discounted DVC passes. After you do so, they will appear in your Reservati0on and Ticket section of your MDE account.

The Magic Bands you can get if you have an annual pass that come with a little AP clip do not automatically get shipped to you. You need to open the MyDisneryExperience folder in the upper right side of your MDE page and click on Magic Bands and Cards. A page will come upntelling you the Magic Bands that you get for having an AP are ready to ship at your request, and if you want them now, you should first personaiize the MB's and then have them shipped.
