Ap for WL early Dec. Help.

I wanted to buy an Ap and book a standard room at the WL during the first 2 weeks in Dec. Is anyone having trouble booking this type of room? I really don't want to buy the AP unless I think I'll have a fairly good chance that I'll get a room at the WL.

I wish I would have found this site before my first trip to Disney last year. I could have saved over $1,000 with what I have learned from everyone!

I checked WL on the Best Rate program for arrival on 12/3 for 8 nights and it does not come up as available. AKL is the alternative offer, but only Deluxe waterview and better rooms seem to be in the quote. I tried arrival on 12/4 and 12/5 with the exact same results. Sorry.

For the first week in December you can't even get a standard or woods view room at the WL at rack rate! Courtyard view is it. The second week does have standard and woods view at rack but has only woods and courtyard at AP rates. 7 nights in woods view would be $1248.80, ctyd is $1443.96.

If you are interested in WL the first week of December, my TA had a group rate going there. I have no idea if they still have rooms but it was $204/night there for courtyard view (normally $255).

I am wondering if anything will open up later. For example, don't packages have to be paid for by 45 days out or am I thinking of something else?

Does anyone think there will still be rooms for AP holders when the codes come out. We are going Dec. 7-11.

I was looking at WL for Dec. 9-11 and nothing on Best Rate is available. Courtyard only is available rack rate.

I doubt there will be much availability for WL in December if and when other codes would come out. They don't seem to have trouble filling this resort in December at rack rates, so I don't see why they would need to discount this resort.

We booked rack rate at POFQ, so hopefully something opens up there at a discount, because I hate spending that much for a moderate. I'll keep checking WL though, just in case something slips through.
