AP Expires Right After Oct. Trip, Will PhotoPass Pics Still be Available For 365 Days?

This is a really good question! We will be in the same boat - I wonder if anyone will know this for sure before October!!

I believe that once your AP expires, the photos will revert to the standard 45-day availability. Also, you'll only be allowed to download the photos while the AP is active.

Oh man - might have to move my trip! I was planning to stay at WDW a few days after my expiration but that could cost me a good chunk of money if I need a new MM!

Ah - good question, same boat - although I'll probably renew my AP. My expires days after we visit in April.

You can just download all your photos on the last day of the AP. If you have any photos after that (though I'm not sure where you would), you can pay for them individually if you really want them.

I don't quite know how I will download them....between not having a laptop and being at the whim of Disney wifi - seems like it would really reduce the magic of my vacation....this also means no editing / borders etc but that I will live with...guess I may have to see if I can get someone else to do it...

It's a bummer that they wouldn't consider photos taken in the last month to expire 45 days from the date they were taken as long if that taken date was before expiration...maybe they will allow the extension fee to be applied to get a few more days...

Title says it all, thanks for any info offered.

My AP expires 4/19/16. My November pictures show that they expire in November 2017. I had pictures taken in January, and the app says that they expire in January of 2017, so it seems to me that pictures will expire one year from when they were taken.

I sure hope that's right, because my trip ends on 4/18, and I won't be home to download my pictures until the 20th.

That's an interesting question and I'm curious to hear how WDW handles it. I had a Premier AP and over on the DLR side, you had access to the photos until you lost access to the AP website (which was the day after the AP expired). I got a new DL AP and my photos were still there, but if I hadn't gotten a new AP (and thus gotten access to the AP website again), I would not be able to access the photos.

cross posting this question:
Are the photos taken on the final day of your AP available for download/"included"?

I'm having an issue. Have an AP that expires in late August. I don't seem to understand how on earth to get the downloads at all. I know it's a new thing to get them for free - do I even have that option?

I am not sure how that is going to work. We got our AP last week and when I go to the photopass page I can see and download all my pictures and pictures from people that are friends with me through MDE as far back as October .

Did you pay extra to upgrade your AP anytime after the AP price increase around October 2015? If you didn't then you shouldn't be able to download the photos as you didn't pay for it.

I activated my AP at the end of August 2015, but then I paid an upgrade price in December 2015 to get the "new" AP that includes the photo downloads, but it still expires on the original AP expiration date.

Update:
My pass expired on 4/19/16. I upgraded it on 11/1/15. I have photos that were taken on 11/1/15 that say they expire on 11/1/16, and I have photos that were taken as late as 4/18/16 (which say they expire on 4/18/17), and they all still are available for download now.

My photos that were taken in April 2015 and Sept 2015 expired in the normal 45 days or whatever because they were taken before I paid for the AP Platinum upgrade

That explains it. I didn't know there was an option to upgrade it. I just had the normal old type of AP that I had gotten late August 2015. The price increase came about right afterwards. I kept my pass as it was, so it never originally came with photo downloads. We rarely buy photos anyway, so it was no big deal.
